Great Buy

SweetPea32 February 25, 2025

This pressure cooker is a lifesaver. It cooks food so quickly and is easy to clean. The first dish I made was lentil soup and it was done in 15 minutes tasting like perfection. I can rave about it enough. I highly recommend it if you are on a budget and have little time to spend cooking.

Safer Than My Presto Pressure Cooker, ...

William September 28, 2024

This 6 quart cooker is much better than my 4 qt Presto pressure cooker for these reasons. The pressure regulator is a better and safer design. Also the secondary safety valve on the Farberware will release excess pressure in a gradual, controlled manner. The safety valve on the Presto is designed to blow up and suddenly spew all the liquid out your pot. With Farberware you can put beans directly into the pot. With Presto, the vent hole is so tiny it plugs up easily. That's likely why the Presto information manual warns users to always put beans into a separate container and cover with aluminum foil to avoid foaming inside the cooker. The Farberware lid gasket is 19.5" outside diameter and 18.5" inside diameter. It's substantially more heavy duty than Presto's gasket. It's a very common, univeral size that's used in many cookers and inexpensive to replace. Also the larger pot doesn't take up anymore space in my cabinet than the smaller one. See pictures. The pressure regulator gently snaps into place and otherwise works the same as any other pressure cooker. With Presto the regulator is loose. If you turn the lid upside down, the regulator will fall off and it's relatively heavy if it falls on your foot or a child. The only downside is the pot is aluminum. The user manual recommends avoiding highly acidic or alkaline foods. That's true with all aluminum cookware. Also if you put aluminum into the dishwasher it will discolor. I like aluminum though because it conducts heat faster and more evenly. Excellent for beans, potatoes, stews, meat, etc. My recommendation is to read the user manual carefully and thoroughly clean the cooker before the first use. They use lubrication to protect the pot and gasket. Your new pot will look very clean but it is not. Black, greasy dirt from manufacturing was not visible until I started cleaning. Pretty disgusting so I'm glad I cleaned it before cooking.

Better than an instant Pot

Gina January 29, 2025

Whee when my instant pot got broken, I did not have a lot of spare money to get another. My mom always used this type, so I took a chance and found I love using it! Needed it to make beef stew. I love how tender the meat and veggies are when made In this. I found it easier than the instant pots to use. Much more simplified and doesn’t take up a lot of room for storage.

Good product %26 at Walmart Every Day Low Prices

Erixander February 7, 2025

It works great at an unbeatable price —Walmart offers Every Day Low Prices, making it much cheaper than Amazon and Target. Plus, sometimes it has “Walmart Cash Offers” for extra savings. For the best value, always check that it’s “sold %26 shipped by Walmart.”

Loving This Little Faberware Pressure Cooker

Christine December 25, 2024

This is a great little pressure cooker. It is easy to clean (very important for me). I have cooked chuck roasts, potatoes, corn on the cob and several other items in it with excellent results. The 6 quart size works perfect for two to four people. I am extremely pleased with this Faberware pressure cooker and would definitely recommend it!

Works to Pressure Cook Small Jars at 15 psi

June January 12, 2025

I have been looking for a pressure cooker to pressurize jars of grain to 15 psi for growing mushrooms. i have searched and you have to pay a lot for these big pressure cookers. I only need to do small jars, and maybe just three at a time. This pressure cooker doesn't mention at all that this can be done, but i took a chance and purchased it. It's perfect for what I need!! It has the weight to put on top to let you know when it rocks back and forth, you have reached the 15 psi. It works and its the cheapest I have found! If you need to do half pints to one pint, this will work for you, But, but, it does Not come with a Trivet. I got one from the dollar tree so the jars aren't toching the bottom!!

Bang for the buck!

Heinz September 13, 2024

For its prize, this is big and very very effective! Now I am able to tenderize pork shoulder butt or other tougher beef cuts in just 15mins. It is straight forward to use and it has additional safety features.

Easy to use and last long

yaozhu December 2, 2025

We have been using the same pressure cooker for 30 years. When one broke or get burned we get another one the same. The price is much higher this time. But we get it anyway because we are so used to it and it really meets our daily needs for a quick and simple cooking. Compare to other pressure cooker the price is still reasonable.

6 quart Farberware Pressure Cooker %2348296

B July 17, 2024

Ordered online. Arrived within 2 days. Not a problem since I don't think that I'll be able to use it for a while. The box had clearly been opened (this is why I prefer to shop in person... I can pick out which item I buy). It was not listed as an "open box" item (I don't like boxes that might be missing parts or returns that might not work or have damages). There were cardboard pieces that were clearly designed to be spacers or to protect parts. They were out of place and empty... randomly stuck in there. What were they supposed to do? Is something missing? I don't know. I have never used or owned a pressure cooker before, but I've been wanting to try it. I'm disabled and can't stand long. I look forward to trying it, but it may be a while. Why do you send "open box" items, factory rejects, and other misc products items? Many of us who shop online are disabled. That's why we have no choice to buy online. We can't get out, or it's harder to get out only to find items out of stock in the store. If you have open or damaged boxes, sell them as such, not "as new."

Disappointed

TheBoxWasOpen January 12, 2026

I used this pressure cooker only one time. After cooking, l put it in the dishwasher to clean it. When l tried to use it again, it was brown. The material of the pot is some cheap stuff that changes color after one use. Very disappointed with this purchase. It could be dangerous for our health.
