Farberware Professional Can Opener with Built in Bottle Opener in Black

10 years of long lasting use and is not going to fall apart on you like the gimmicky kind you find at smaller chain stores. Faberware was the name talked about over and over again during dinner conversations as being a brand for cookware. Love my Faberware can opener for using to use everyday in the kitchen.

This was a great substitution and ensures that when the power goes out, I can still open cans. This can opener is easy to use for us soon to be old folks.

I ordered the one I wanted, and the website took my money, but then notified me it was not available. This was second choice.

I selected this item because it was billed as being a very heavy duty can opener but when used it had difficulty even making a cut into a can of any size and then it only would cut a small portion on the can lid - try and try it took extreme effort to finally remove the entire lid - in fact I had to go back to my old can opener to really finish opening the can - I would never recommend this item to anyone and am seriously considering the purchase of a different can opener (perhaps from a different vendor) because this basically was a waste of my money. Totally I was surprised because the write up gave a fantastic review of the product - but in reality, the review turned out to be more hype than reality. I should have given it much lower ratings, but I don't like being all negative when rating anything.

This product does not last long. Although you get what you pay for I have bought other ones and I always have the same issue , the teeth share off after extensive use they last probably about 3 to 4 months before you have to replace them. I'm a family of four. And I cook a meal five days out of the week.

Handle spins without opening the can. Have to lean it to one side to get it to move at all. After 2 weeks the gears are already showing wear and binding up. Spinning the handle when it isn't even on a can is sometimes difficult.

In the past buying Farberware meant getting quality and that was what I expected with this purchase; I am SO disappointed with is can opener! Once the cutter punctures the can lid the knob just turns and turns without the cutting wheel moving around the can. Pushing the handles up or down will sometimes get the cutter to move for a short distance and then once again the knob just turns and turns without the cutter moving. Very frustrating!

I bought this 9 months ago and it's been a pain the whole time. I'm looking for a replacement because this has rarely ever cut the can completely. It usually tears the can paper as I turn it and I have to turn it backwards to get it to work best. I thought Farberware was a good brand.

This can opener dents every can you try to open with it. It makes it impossible to open the can with ANY can opener. I'm even worse off after using this.

This is a terrible can opener. I bought it to replace an old very inexpensive open. I’m back to using the old opener that still works 100 times better than this. Very disappointed.
