Farberware Professional Can Opener with Built-in Bottle Opener in Red

This is a heavy duty smooth operating hand held can opener. Feels great in your hand with the rounded ergo handles. Don't hesitate to purchase this one!

I like them. The handles might be a little big for small hands but once it's snapped into the can I don't think they'll be a problem. Cut easily for me. Easy to turn.

I thought this review was about my order and receiving it did not give me the option to meet the driver at the door

I thought with a well known name brand I would get a well made can opener with a comfortable handle but its not ! It is plastic just like the rest of it (besides the part opening the can) For that price, the least they can do is put a rubber handle so its more comfortable to hold especially for older folks and/or people with arthritis or carpel tunnel. Just a big disappointment !!

It doesn't work as good as it said. The jar opener don't fit most of my lids, I do better poking a hole in the top to open. I bought a 2 dollar opener at dollar general. It works so much better than this one. It was getting rusted after 10 years of owning it. I only was getting a new one cause we use the other for camping now.

This can opener managed to open the first can without a struggle. the second time I used it. wouldn't cut through. thought it might be the can. third time would not grip the can at all. tried one more time. It tore the lable but did nothing to open the can. Very disappointed. I love all my other Farberware products.

The handle turns, the gear turns, no cutting happens. Opening a standard size can takes enough turns of the handle that you should have been able to open 3-4 cans with the same amount of turns. Absolutely useless. Very disappointed especially since this used to be a trustworthy brand.

I've only used it 4 times The 1st 3 times it did it's job better than expected. im a Quadriplegic and myCaregiver initially raved about its performance. But on its 4th use it is frozen. is thus typical, has anyone repprtrd this kind pf situation.? How do I go about obtaining replacement or my money back

This is a beautiful can opener that doesn't open a single can. You can use the sharp blade to puncture your way around the can (if you don't dent it beyond being able to successfully do this), but don't think for one moment that the gears are going to engage to actually function properly. I purchased this back in December to have as a backup in the even of a power outage, and just so happened to need it to open a number 10 can that I didn't want to try and tackle with my electric opener. Yeah, that didn't work. Still tried on three standard sized cans—also didn't work. Don't bother with this. Go with the Cuisinart Empire Red can opener that I bought this to replace as it came up missing during our move because I know I am.

The Farberware "Professional" (lulz) Can Opener is an astonishing triumph of anti-engineering, a device so thoroughly unwilling to perform its singular function that one wonders if it was, in fact, designed by a committee of particularly unmotivated sloths. The gears refuse to catch unless aligned at an angle known only to the Elders of the Universe, and even then, their engagement is purely theoretical. Attempts to operate it result in nothing but crushed spirits and dented cans. That I tried one a second time suggests either boundless optimism or profound stupidity—both of which, I regret to report, remain unrewarded.
