Farberware Professional Ice Cream Scoop with Black Handle

You know those cheap ice cream scoops you can buy in a hurry? The ones that bend into a weird C shape and can't scoop well? This scoop is NOT that one. This ice cream scoop is used at least weekly for our kids (currently 5 of them) and has held up so well! So spend that extra little bit for this scoop, you won't regret it.

I have switched from using a deep fryer made for that purpose and containing a basket to using a Dutch oven to deep fry. The FW pro Asian strainer serves as the "basket" when using the Dutch oven and, in fact, has proven to be more useful and helpful in minimizing the splashing of cooking oil and the mess it makes.

I was given this product for an honest review. I LOVE this ice cream scooper! It is comfortable to hold and in my opinion was easy to use and scoop hard ice cream. I have a pampered chef ice cream scooper and since receiving this one I haven't touched my pampered chef one. If I had spent $3 on this I would be VERY pleased.

Our two other ice cream scoops are always either waiting to be washed or misplaced somewhere, so I bought my own to keep out of reach from the Gremlins in our house that keep hiding them from us.

I have buy several Ice cream scoop and they all broke, this one looks pretty strong is the price 5.00 is pretty good, I have use it the whole summer very often and still in pretty good condition.

Useful for scooping firm ice cream. Simple design but sturdy. Price could be a little lower since it is a basic design however it is metal so it is longer lasting. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

My Caregivers say it is easy to use on hard frozen ice cream. Slices through the cream smoothly. Has a good ergonomic handle. TIP: If difficult to scoop ice cream, run hot water over metal part of scoop for a few seconds.

It absolutely gets the job done. There's nothing in it to assist in getting the ice cream out of the scoop, it's not hollow with a slightly warming liquid inside, but that's not what I wanted anyway. For what it is and it's cost, it is perfect.

Feels a little flimsy, but gets the done. I worry that it could break anytime, though where the metal meets the plastic handle. Other than that, great product that gets the job done!

Nice heavy scoop but unfortunately ice cream sticks no matter what you do. I submerge in hot water and still have to use a spoon to remove ice cream from the scoop. I would not recommend.
