Farberware Professional Stainless Steel 11 Inch Steamer

i cook a whole cabbage head with it leaving out the center lifter. it works and I put it in the dishwarsher. Great addition to my cooking collection..

I love the middle extending handle. It was so easy to lift out of the pot to access to food. The covered feet keep my pot from getting all scratched up. The basket size is generous - it might not work in a smaller pot. This is exactly what I needed. Easy to wash, good value, would recommend it.

So much more durable than the others I've ordered! Handle, thickness of the metal, everything.

I'm an artichoke lover, and trying to cook just one in a smaller pot with a smaller steamer presented two problems. The lid didn't fit properly, because the artichoke was too tall, and the steamer would sometimes tilt because of uneven weight distribution; and the artichoke would fall in the water, leaving it more soggy. This larger steamer, used in a larger pot, allows the lid to fit properly, and the rubber feet provide more stability to keep it from tipping!

Seems to be made with quality materials. One of the three feet was bent and loose. It is still useable but I probably would not reorder it because of the quality issue.

Unless you own a phillips screwdriver, caution! Opened it to find out you have a "tiny" screw to put the handle on. I have to borrow a phillips before I can use this. It is a solid piece which I'm sure will be fine after I screw on the handle. Screw is shown by yellow arrow.

The steamer basket does the job. But, it didn't come with the screw that secures the handle to the basket. I have to wait until everything cools down so I can remove it from the pot.

this steamer had little rubber nubs on its feet but the rubber melted n stuck to pan n ruined my pan cheap pan so idc bout it but now i want a better steamer

Handle for center was not attached, it was tucked in small plastic bag inside steamer. There is no way to attach it! Now I have to trudge to the store to return it. Faberware needs some quality control.
