We were using equate Metamucil switch over to Sand Clear seems to be working out well
Though I usually use a generic product, this works great for horses.
My mare had been experiencing chronic explosive diarrhea for the past few years, worse in the fall. After using Sand Clear (30-day treatment per vet recommendation), her manure is solid, her mood is better, and she seems more comfortable overall! Will continue to use this monthly, or as needed, to prevent diarrhea from returning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent supplement! My horses love the apple/molasses flavor and eat it with no problem. It really helps support their digestive health. SandClear is a must-have in my feeding program. The psyllium crumbles are effective at eradicating sand from horses' colons and preventing colic, and within 4 days of use. The horses love the taste! The tub will last a while and is good value to use 4 to 5 feedings.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SandClear Crumbles have been really effective for my horses, especially since they graze off the ground and are in sandy areas. I like that the texture is similar to pelleted grain, so it mixes right into their feed without any issues and they eat it up without hesitation. There isn't much of a scent to it at all, which is nice because some supplements can be pretty strong-smelling, but this one goes unnoticed. The packaging is decent—sturdy enough to handle being opened and closed often without tearing or breaking down, and the scoop inside makes it easy to measure out. For the price, I think it's good value for money since it gives me peace of mind that I'm helping reduce the risk of sand colic. Overall, it's simple, effective, and easy to use, which makes it something I plan to keep on hand regularly.
When my colt started having loose stools I tried everything, worming, bio-sponge, etc. After 1 dose of sand clear my horses "cow patties" turned to normal solid poo. Now I'll use monthly as part of his maintenance program.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value for the price. Horses took it great and so far works great! No horrible odor or scent with it the packaging was great as well. Highly recommend to people with horses in sandy areas
My vet recommended I use a sand clearing product for 5-7 days every other month as a preventative measure. There was no problem with palatability but my horses had loose stool and impressive quantity after just a few days. My mare seemed a little off. One of those hard to place but just not herself issues. I think it was the increased gi mobility. I have not heard of anyone else having this kind of issue so maybe it was unrelated to the sand clear but I'll watch closely next time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With different supplements, my horses will push around their food and knock it out of their feeders. This supplement they did not do that. The packaging is easy to open and smaller, so it doesn't take up much room. The pellets are small and soft, my senior horse had no issues with chewing them, and I didn't have to soak them for him.
Ive been using Sandclear and other Pyslium products for years. It is a must in the sandy soil we have.
