FAUNNA 6A Mulberry Silk Pillow Case, Standard Size, White, 1 Piece

This is not what Americans call a pillow case. It is a pillow protector: it even says so in big letters on the packaging. In America, pillow protectors go under a pillow case, and they are not fancy silk. It has a zipper, and our pillow cases don't. Our pillow protectors do have zippers. I like a plump pillow, so mine just barely fits in this protector. Other than being skimpy, it seems well made, and the fabric is nice. So if you like flatter pillows, it will look good enough to pass for a pillow case. I haven't tried washing it yet.

Wash them by hand! The pillowcases dry out fairly quickly when washed by hand and allowed to drip dry. This will keep them doing their job. A couple of years back, my son got me a pair of silk pillow cases and after handwashing for a while, I got lazy and started washing them in the washing machine and drying them in a dryer. That was a mistake! They soon began to fall apart as you might expect silk to do. I wash these by hand every week and they are holding up nicely. The real quality test for me was my hair. I sleep with the silk side next to my hair and face and my long hair is tangle free every morning. As much as I love to use cotton, cotton cases leave my hair in knots. This price on this pillow case was very affordable and the silk seems to be high quality, so I would highly recommend!

I was excited with this product until I realized only one side is silk. No flipping to the cool side unless you want regular fabric on the other side.
