Came in packaged very well. The bulb was a lot bigger than it looked on request picture. But looks like it made pretty good and strong. Really like the the part where you can either use the light or bug zapper separately or both, light is not super bright but nice to the eyes. The bug zapper works fast had to clean it after just two days, the cleaning brush added works great also. Thank you for allowing me to test.
This light is great! The brighteness is perfect and not blinding like a flood light. The zapper works well for small scale bugs, but if you have a problem with larger bugs or large quantities, this won't due get yourself a larger scale zapper. The bulb has 3 settings light, zapper, and light with zapper. I give it 4 out 5 bc it's not the prettiest bulb and it is a little large so it may not fit some enclosed lamps.
In theory, this lightbulb is a great idea. We have lots of trouble with bugs in our part of Texas. Unfortunately, all of my outdoor lighting and sconces have protective glass around them. This means that I can't use the lightbulb for its intended purpose because the lightbulb is not open to the air and the bugs.
I bought to kill flys in the garage. It was not effective in doing so. It did function properly with the light switch toggling. The light produced was dim. We will keep it for a future use. The dead bug tray is difficult to slide out. If it had any bugs in it, they would go everywhere, so it would be beat to empty over the trash or outside.
I had high hopes for this bulb, but I'm not so sure I could recommend it for the typical porch light fixture. Maybe if you have a covered patio and just need to zap the occasional rogue mosquito or moth it would be alright. I have a normal, open porch though, and this light draws more bugs than it zaps. So we have a million critters flying around us while we bring in groceries still. One feature I really like about the bulb is that it doesn't take a special swith to work. One flip on, it does just the light. Two flips, it's just the zapper without the light. And three flips, it's both the zapper and the light. Maybe it'll serve us better when we build the screened cover around our deck.
Awesome product, but you need to make sure that your outside light is big enough for it. I had to change my outside light fixture to accommodate how fat the light is in order for it to actually do the job. Really like how you can change the function of the light by how many times you flip it on and off.
I love this bulb the only problem I have with it is that it will not fit in my outdoor lights because the base that screws in is not long enough. My lights have a trim piece so it doesn't reach. I do have a table top lamp that it fits in perfectly and so far it works great. As soon as I turned it on I saw bugs fly in and get zapped. I suggest putting it away from where you are sitting so that the bugs will go to the lamp and not you. Love that you can switch to either the zapper or just the light.
Haven't caught one bug yet
did not zap even one mosquito. i have over ten misquito bites without even leaving the inside of my house for several days and no evidence that light zapped even one bug.
Husband didn't want this item and I can't get out to store to return it
