Tried the cheaper brands, and they can't hold a candle to GE bulbs. In my opinion, the best on the market.
Great value. best price I could find.
I don't know what is about the yellow light verses the white bulb but they work. So glad I don't have to come home to a million bugs by my doorway at night.
I bought this in hopes to prevent the little webs that form all over my front porch that catch all the tiny bugs that are attracted to the porch light. I waited weeks to review. I still get webs and bugs all over. I cleaned the globe out when I installed the bug light bulb and its full of dead bugs again. Since I leave the porch light on all night, I may as well put the expensive fluorescent light back in.
I did not even want to give one star as poor isn't even adequate to describe how awful these bulbs were. Worst bulbs I've ever purchased in my life. I had read a few bad reviews before purchasing but decided to take a chance and ordered them anyway. Ladies and gentlemen, do not, I repeat, do not waste your money on these terribly made bulbs. Each one burned out within several hours of installing them. Neither one made it till midnight even. I cannot recommend them at all. Save yourself some time and money and buy the Sylvania two pack, which I have now and are working just fine. Never again will I buy this brand's bug lights.
didnt keep the bugs away...seemed to attract them, wouldnt reccomend.
the order was 6 days late it was on the road in a snow bank and1 of the bulbs was dead
We have used similar bulbs in our front porch fixtures for years. These didn't work for evens day before burning out. Both bulbs. We purchased a different brand and have no problems. Not sure what the problem was, bit I won't be buying these again.
I returned the burned out bulbs to the store with the comment that THEY ARE DEFECTIVE: First bulb lasted less than 1 week on motion sensor. Same thing happened again to the second (replacement) bulb. DO NOT BUY. THEY DON'T LAST. But... if they did last, they do do a good job keeping the amount of insects less than if you were to use a white bulb.
I read some other reviews before I bought these bulbs, but I bought them since they were the best price. But you get what you pay for, and these burn out so quick, it doesn't save any money to have to replace so fast. I had always trusted GE products, but don't waste your money on these bulbs.
