Fellowes 12MS Microshred 12-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper Shredder

I love this shredder. I haven't stopped using it since it was delivered. It's of good quality, easy to use, and worth the price. You can shred old credit cards; up to 12 sheets of paper can be shredded all at once. I purchased the warranty just in case, but I do recommend this item.

Purchased to replace an older Fellowes shredder that was still working, but I wanted the smaller micro cut shredding. This new model produces much smaller shreds and is much quieter than my older model.

Absolutely wonderful. My only complaint is that the holder wouldn't fit a bag inside it without slippage. So other than emptying into a bag manually, it's a solid solution.

This shredder is monstrous. It annihilates stacks of paper fast and silently. It destroys cd’s and credit cards, commits atrocities upon card stock, demolishes staples and small paperclips, eradicates laminated forms. You get the idea. It’s a great shredder.

I recently received the Fellowes 12MS Microshred 12-Sheet Micro-Cut Paper Shredder. The setup was easy, and I was able to begin shredding unnecessary paperwork within a few minutes. The shredder rolls with ease on my floor, so I can move it quickly from one location to another if needed. The power switch is located on the back and is easy to access. I tried single pieces of paper as well as multiple sheets. Each time, the shredder handled it without missing a beat. I was able to shred cardstock paper as well. There were no problems at all. I did not try a credit card, but it does have an area identified on the top of the shredder that shows where to insert a card. The shredder makes small cuts; it is a confetti-like cut once it is in the bin. After multiple uses, I still have not had to dump the bin. The bin has a transparent window that allows you to monitor the amount of shredded paper that is in the bin. The shredder has buttons to stop the shredding process by reversing the movement of the paper going down to back up and back down as well. I would recommend this shredder. It is easy to use, and it produces a small amount of waste in the bin.

I previously had a Fellows paper shredder that lasted for 10 years. It wasn’t an expensive one, - it only shredded 8 pages at a time, but it was fast and did what I needed it to do. I got in a hurry the other day and put too many pages in and burned up the motor. Totally my fault. When looking for a new one, I looked at ratings, number of pages, and speed. There was another brand I almost purchased, but some of the reviews said it was slow, so I opted for the Fellows. I’m glad I did. This one shreds like a beast!

I love this shredder.. it was easy to set up, ,I love that it's on wheels, and it works great.. cut up an expired drivers license first thing, worked great, Quiet .. plus I like the size of the bin for the shreds.. I read the whole Manuel of the instructions so I would know anything I needed to know.

Works very good out of the box. Could be a little quieter. An application of the Fellowes shredder oil seemed to help a little even though it was supposedly oiled initially at the factory. The plastic sides and bucket could be a little thicker to prevent cracking when moving. The wheels are also small and the plastic insert holder could be a little more robust. If you handle the machine carefully, it should be OK but rough handling would be disasterous.

I really like this but the base container is cheap flimsy plastic. The unit works beautifully and is quiet. It recommends liquid oil but I purchased the lubricant sheets instead.

I have owned a Fellowes Shredder for 8 years and when it recently broke I replaced it with this model. Within 2 weeks the front caster broke. The extremely poor quality of the plastic case where the heavy motor sits is UNBELIEVABLE. Fellowes has seriously reduced the quality control I relied upon and expected. If I could give no Stars I would because the plastic case is so flimsy it could not possibly support the heavy motor. BEWARE and dont waste your time, money because you will be returning this shredder unless Fellowes improves the plastic case.
