Fellowes LX50-RS 9-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Personal Shredder

I had a lot shredding and needed something that could handle the high demand. It works great but will need a cooling period when having a lot of shredding

this machine is pretty quiet. Only thing I wish was better. What's the capacity of the bin as I frequently have to empty it out after shredding things like mail and docs. Overall, hadn't had any issues with shredding things like I these credit cards, though. I have not tried to shred a metal credit card yet.

This shredder is a great, semi-compact size for the typical home office. It cross-cuts documents easily and can handle staples, paperclips and credit cards. The front has a tinted see-through window so you can easily monitor the shred level so you don't overfill the bin. Very happy with the performance and size of this unit.

It's the time of the year where we prepare for tax filing and end of year document handling. I love how the Fellowes 9c Cross Cut Shredder takes the burden away from securely shredding sensitive documents so that information remains confidential and safe. The machine is large enough to have a 3.8 gallon capacity waste paper basket attached to the powered cross-cut shredder. Easily remove the top shredder to empty the basket with ease. Shreds up to 9 sheets of 20lb papers. You can also shred credit cards and other forms of identification easily. Shredder can be used in home or for the office. There is also a safety lock that helps prevent accidents in small children.

I'm a fan of this shredder fro several reasons. - It's got a safety on it which is great when you now work from home with little ones. - The blades are internal, keeps little fingers from going in. - It has a nice look too it - Shreds the heck outta things. I can't even tell what it is anymore. The only con is that it's kind of loud. Doesn't really bother me since I work at home alone, but I could see how it could present an issue for someone else. All in all I very much like it and would recommend it.

I really needed this. I had bought so many that did not do the job but this one is different. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who has a lot of shredding today and I have a lot of shredding to do. This has lasted and lasted through tons of papers this evening I have not had to turn it off or have it go off because it overheated. I am so pleased with this everyone you have to get this one. It's worth the money.

This shredder is MUCH better than the two piles of crap I received from Bonsaii that they didn't back their warranty on. I could tell right away the fellows is better quality, more powerful, quieter %26 shreds what they claim it does effortlessly. I wish I would have bought the Fellows the first time !

Esthetic design with nice details like a large tinted transparent window to check fullness, rounded edges to prevent bruised shins, safety lock that's intuitive for adults but not kids, reverse feature for paper jams. Quickly, smoothly shreds 9 sheets of paper at a time (including their staples and paper clips), with cross cut size that gives great security. Will shred credit cards, but not CD/DVDs. Easy to set up and use, durable construction. Good capacity but small enough to fit under a desk.

I owned a Fellowes for over 20 years, which never gave me a problem, however it finally came to a halt. Have since moved and replaced it with this one since space was limited but I am dissatisfied. First off this is being used in my home office. When shredding the bits of paper fly back up and make a mess all over. After I'm finished, I then need to sweep the floor and wipe the dust particles off the shredder and the floor.

I really thought this was an excellent shredder like so many other reviewers until I was disappointed when it stopped shredding. Mine stopped on the first day of use! I figured this was a bad sign so I returned it immediately. I went back to read deeper into the reviews and realized that the problem might have been the "simple fix" mechanical sensor that Fellowes suggested. Here are my recommendations to Fellowes based on their responses and the negative reviews: 1. Many customers, like myself, don't want to call Customer Service, either because we've had negative experiences with Customer Service from other companies or we just don't want to make phone calls. Provide other options. 2. Provide troubleshooting in the owner's manual. The information in the manual is sparse. If it's a simple fix, we can do it by ourselves. 3. Provide a link to troubleshooting, YouTube, etc. 4. If it's a simple fix, give some details in your responses to customers in their reviews. If you had done any of these, I would've probably utilized one of them and kept my Fellowes LX50-RS 9-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Personal Shredder and I'd be using it right now!
