So, I really like these filters, they are well-made and a good price. Sturdy and dense, too. But…they are actually slightly smaller than any other 14”x20” I have ever purchased (and I've used many brands). It's strange, the cardboard on the outside edges doesn't reach the edges of the air intake slot. Womp womp womp. Still, they do the job covering air intake tube itself (so I think the air being intaken is actually going through them, and not “around” them), and they allow the grate to close without seeming like they lean forward when I close it (if that makes sense… as in, they fit at the right depth, but they are slightly — about a half inch both ways — too short/too narrow). I was definitely confused and a little annoyed, but, I liked them well enough to keep them. I just hope that they're doing as good a job filtering, seeing as how there are gaps (on the outside) of them. PS I wish I had snapped a photo for you while I was on the ladder.
