Great for allergy prone
These filters work great. I am allergic to mold and dust and they really filter out those type of particles. I can tell because I have terrible sinus pain when I am in a place with a poor filter.

Good filters
The filters work well. I change them every 3 mnths or so as the dust does accumilate. The packing is what arrives bent up from shipping. But they do work well and are good value.

we got this more expensive filter because it said it filtered pollen. We both have pollen allergies. This filter has been in place for a while, and we are seeing no difference.

What happened to Filtrete?????
Filtrete used to be a great brand, but this new design is horrible. My filter is doing the same thing everyone else's is. It bends in the middle when the air conditioner is on and I am worried it is going to suck the filter into the air conditioner blower area. I ordered a different brand thru Amazon because this design is beyond terrible. Very flimsy and is collapsing in the unit. Not safe. They need to pull these from the shelves.

Filter lacks support to withstand air flowing thru
This new design is BAD. The filter does not have enough support to withstand the Return Air suction. The air filter was originally flat, and it became concave in shape. So unfiltered air bypassed the filter through the perimeter edges causing a whistling sound. So buy an Air Filter with steel wire support!

Plugs up quickly. Heat exchanger overheats
This filter is dangerous. After just a few weeks this filter suddenly plugs and blocks circulated air. Heat exchanger overheats and glows red. Safety shuts down furnace. This filter was even behind an old school spun prefilter which only blocks the larger dust balls, if any. This 3M filter was bowed out like schooner sail. Keep away from this one.

Cheap Filters
Filter gets bent from the airflow the ac creates. Material used to support the filter fabric is weak plastic not wire like other filters. Would not purchase this item again. Waste of money
