Filtrete 16x24x1 HVAC Furnace Air Filter, MPR 1000 MERV 11, Allergens & Pet Dander, 1 Filter

Item is great, have been using this type of filter for a long time. I feel it is a bit pricey, but worth it to keep your furnace in good condition and working efficiently. My only complaint is the packaging, it came in a box 3 ft. tall and 24 inches wide, stuffed with a roll of paper.

These filters tend to last a couple of months, longer in warm weather, and they reduce dust significantly.

This brand of filters is the only brand I use

Recently had my kitchen tile replaced and the dust was everywhere despite trying to use plastic barriers. I has asthma and it was horrible. This filter helped clear the air and I could breathe again.

Although I like & have to have this filter for my house HVAC system, I find that I am changing the filter every month NOT the 3 mos it is supposed to last. I did let one set go approx 45 days, but found the old filters collapsed into the vent due to the lack of air able to pass through. They do clean the air that passes thru, but definitely NOT for 3 months! I would seriously consider another filter if available, at least to have comparison...more to follow if I do find one/some.

The Allergen Defense 1000 14x30x1 does not fit the return air filter holder on my system. Other brands are tight, but they fit. 3M admits the filter is slightly larger, but gives no reason why, nor is it noted on the filter. NOT HAPPY!

Run slightly bigger… doesn't fit. I had to purchase brand. My disappointment is that I'm reading olds comments and reviews (about 2 years ago) and looks like the brand is not interested to fix this issue.

I bought this filter for my furnace and noticed furnace won't quit running. My furnace ran constantly for 2 days until I find out from the technition that this 3M filter is made too thick for smooth air flow, which will make the furnace work harder to compensate. The issue was solved as soon as changed with a different filter.

I've bought many brands of ac filters for decades and never had the support webbing of the filter on the upstream side of the filter (according to air flow direction arrow). I don't know whether to trust my decades worth of experience or trust the air flow direction arrow.
