I have always rinsed my dishes before I put in the dishwasher out of years of habit but because I'm a “try and see” type personality i gave it a try. I put an entire load of dishes that I didn't rinse……did it go against everything I've ever done? You betcha it did. So when I took them out one by one I was like an inspector of restaurants just waiting to find something hideous. Well this product did exactly as it said it would. I'm so impressed and the time I spend not rinsing my dishes before washing I can now move on to other tasks. Highly recommended and highly surprising.
These are my favorite dishwasher pods. I love the convenience of a pod and started using them when I had teenagers who would overuse the liquid stuff! These Finish have a great smell and leave the dishes shiny clean. I also like the small packs even though per item are a little more expensive, as they don't take on extra moisture and stick together like the large containers. 5 Stars!
I used to only use gels as I sometimes would find residue on things from powdered products, but I tried this one out of curiosity and price and haven't had any problems since!
I was washing cups by hands and didn't know that they can be so clean after a dish washer with finish. Very satisfied, good for kids plastic dishes as well.
I have had a cleaning business for years and regularly recommend Finish to my customers. I've found that even with Florida's hard water, the dishes come out clean with no residue.
I'm not sure if it's my dishwasher or if it's this actual detergent, but I have residue all over my dishes after using it. I've used other Finish products (gel packs) and they clean better.
The fragrance is so strong, now all my dishes make my food and drinks taste like soap. I don't know why anyone thinks scented dishes are a good idea. They wash okay but not any better than generic. There's a soapy film on my dishes and I don't know if it's from the pods or the Finish rinse aid. But I'll go back to cascade or Walmart pods for now.
I believe I'd used this once before a while ago, but this time the scent was a very strong chemical scent, even more than a week later. It left the dishwasher and Many items "washed" seemed to have an oily film on them, and certainly the chemical odor transferred to dishes, utensils, and the dishwasher. To try and eliminate or at least reduce the chemical smell, I ran 2 extra cycles with the dishwasher empty, it did not make a difference. Items washed since then, have to be at least hand rinsed and dried. One has to question the safety of this product in which after almost 2 weeks, with almost daily wash cycles, there's still a strong chemical smell. Did it clean the dishwasher? Yes, but at what personal risk?
I despise the liquid and/or liquid/powder combo packs. After purchasing them accidentally, I had a horrible rainbow like, iridescent residue on my dishwasher interior and dishes. I will always get the hard tablets from now on. I thought my dishes and stainless dishwasher interior were ruined, but after going back the the hard tablets the residue disappeared with just a couple washes. Thank goodness.
These packets do not dissolve in my dishwasher!! We have never had a problem before with the same product.. Maybe l have a bad batch..
