First Alert Hardwired 120V Ionization Smoke Alarm 9120B

I purchased these smoke detectors because they were the same type the builder used. Purchased 7, reallly only needed 6. When I tried to return, was told I would have to pay for the prepaid shipping label. When I asked how much that was, the supplier never responded back. Item was $13.99.

I needed to return this product. I contacted seller two times but never care to respond. Never buying anything from Walmart. Amazon is better

We needed to replace the existing smoke alarms in several units and found that Zoro carried them at a remarkable price and included free shipping in my purchase. I would definitely recommend Zoro to my friends and colleagues and would make this purchase again and again.

The product met my needs, as I have 10 of these detectors wired in my duplex and didn't want to tear out the old wiring and install different detectors. The previous detectors lasted up to 10 years and I am replacing them as they wear out. They do have battery back-up and are also hard wired to power and to a line that connects to all the other detectors, so that when one goes off, they signal all of the others to emit an alarm, as well. After so many years they start making false warnings and have to be replaced. I don't mind replacing the batteries every 6 months. It is my understanding that the new law requires the manufacturers to discontinue making smoke detectors that don't have a battery that will last for 10 years, but allows companies to sell existing stock for a limited time. I was very happy to find that Zoro carried these in stock (identical to the existing ones) and ordered enough to provide replacements for many years. At the low price Zoro is charging, I recommend anyone that is using the same model to consider purchasing replacements instead of removing and rewiring existing locations to accommodate the new 10-year and recycle units.

Still waiting for them to be delivered from NY to Mass I should have just drove there myself would have been quicker ordered at beginning of November now its December

Smoke alarms should be replaced every ten years. My house is 20 years old and these were the exact replacement models at a reasonable cost. Delivery was fast.

I am so happy with this smoke alarm. Our old one would not stop beeping and it did not matter how many batteries I changed out or how many times I reset it. I bought this off of a suggestion from the fire department and it proved to work. Thank you for having this product.

It fit exactly into the same bracket and has worked perfectly ( no loud random beeping ) .
