This fisher price classic record player stands as a wonderful choice for all children...I purchased it for my one year old grandson who loves listening to the songs, however he is too young to operate the player on his own.......perfect for most 18 month olds.........
Ok now this awesome toy takes me back to my childhood I love it it's great easy to use it comes with great nursery rhymes. My daughter plays with toy longer then anyother toy she has. And she can enjoy the sound of the music or she likes just putting the records on. It's truly a classic Nd will always be one of kind the storage for the records is great we don't have k worry about losing them! We need more toys built this way we love it..
I got this record player for my 2 year old grand daughter, but it would be great for little boys too. The first thing that caught my attention is that it is made by Fisher Price. Everything they sell is always about the quality and the children loving it. I love the different colors of the record player. It comes with 5 double sided records with classics like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". It is so easy for a child to use too. They simply put the record on the player, wind it up, and place the needle on the record to hear the song. As I tested it I thought about how I cannot wait to give it to my granddaughter and sing all the songs with her. To see the smiles on her little face will say it all. Fisher Price, a name you can trust. If you have a little one 2 years old and above get this record player and you will be so happy seeing the joy on their little face. I would highly recommend this record player.
Nostalgia Love. I love this toy. I loved it when It first got it as a kid and I love it even more now. It brought back such good memories of my childhood. I am so in love with this toy that I almost did not open the box and let my kids play with it. Eventually I did. At first, I was really bummed out because it was not working at all and that just made me feel horrible because it came with batteries in it. But. Those batteries were not working. Even though this toy is a wind up, it still needs 3 fully charge AA batteries. My batteries were not full charged as I thought they were, so when it did not work after I changed out the initial batteries I was still sad. But, this story has a happy ending. After fully charging my batteries it worked and plays all of the records. There is even a storage space in the back of the record player to hold the records when they are not being used. It plays ten of the classic children's songs: Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, Twinkle Twinkle, Farmer in the Dell, and six others. It is nice to show my kids how old technology worked.
I truly did love the music box, we had one and this brings back memories from my son childhood. This was purchased for my granddaughter on her first visit to my home. My son enjoyed playing with it as much as his daughter did. We love the nursery rhymes from the innocent child's life.
What a great flashback to my childhood! The package is even reminiscent to when I was younger and the toy d oesnt dissapoint. There are 3 records to listen to and kids these days do not even know the joy of a record so it was neat explaining how they work and talk about memories. This works just as good as when they were first brought out and I highly recommend it for good fun without all the electronics that toys have now adays.
the gentleman that help me with the ordering of my fish picture price record player help me a lot and he was very nice and kind and took his time with me cuz I'm old and I have problems but very nice so I wish I could ask for him all the time sometimes at Walmart they're not always nice>
In contrast with the vintage Fisher Price Record Players, where the armature interpreted the bumps on the records to play the tunes, this modern version has a microchip that senses which record you have chosen and plays that particular tune. We haven't actually tried to use it, so I can't comment on what the tunes sound like or the durability of the system compared to the previous incarnations of this toy but I find the technological updating interesting.
Wasn't the original which was a music box concept. This needs batteries which the specs online didn't say. We will see if my grandson likes it in two days. It looks nice.
I have a four year old daughter that loves music, so naturally I got this for her and she loves it. It is very practical, you can store the discs on the back of the record player, it has enough room to store all 5 discs that come included. Also, it has a handle so that my child can carry it everywhere with ease and it is not heavy at all, and the size is just perfect to fit into her little backpack for when she goes to grandma's house. It is easy to use, I don't have to go back and forth changing the discs for my daughter, she can do it all by herself, and the discs have music on both sides, so it does not matter if it is upside down, it will still play music. The sound is great, not too loud and not too low, it is just perfect for our ears. The melodies are great for background music during reading time too. I am glad my daughter can play with a record player.
