Fiskars Crafting Scissors 2-Piece Set: 8-inch and 5-inch Microtip Scissors

I have had a pair of Fiskars scissors for 30 years that have NEVER required sharpening. I finally had to replace them as the handles did not fair well after many dishwasher washes. I did replace my one pair of standard scissors with both the standard and the small needle nose and LOVE BOTH... be extra careful, these scissors are SHARP!

I'm not sure what's up with this set of Fiskars scissors. The quality isn't what I've always associated with the brand. Both arrived with rust marks on the blades. I've never had that problem before. I was able to get them cleaned up, but there shouldn't have been any rust in the first place. The second problem is that the blade tips on the small, "precision" pair overlap each other a bit when the handle is closed, rather than coming to a point the way they should. Honestly, either Fiskers is cutting a lot of corners (no pun intended) to save some money, or these are a counterfeit product. In any case, paying extra for the name brand was *not* rewarded with high quality. If I had this purchase to do over again I'd either buy in-store so I can inspect the quality in person or select a different, less-expensive brand that has good reviews.
