This Review is for Fiskars Non-Stick Micro-Tip Pruning Snips, and as always with my Reviews they are sincere, honest, and factual to the best of my ability, so that a potential customer has all the facts about this product, good or bad. We have own these Pruning Snips for 6 days and wanted to try them out first before a Review, i have to say, that i was pleasantly surprise by the size of these, and how they worked out. For one thing i appreciate that the handles are comfortable in my hand because of the soft grip touch points. So it gives you comfort but also control, and has an easy open Lock and Blade cover the also protects for easy and a safe storage. These also were able to get in those hard to reach places, and stems that are very close to each other, with my amazement. With these snips, I also got a good solid grip, and these did not hurt my hands. They cut better then i actually thought they would even with their small size. The blades are these Fiskars Snips are very Precision Blades with a Micro-Tip Pruning Snips which helps is shaping any and all repetitive trimming you have to do. The blades are made of a hardened Stainless Steel, with Precision Ground edge to stay sharp at all times. And thru all your heavy use. These blades also come enhanced with a Non-Stick Coating, and what this does is helps in reducing any jamming that might occur and also any resin buildup when you use them on any yucky sticky plants. One feature i love about these snips, is that they have been Awarded the Arthritis Foundations Ease of Use Commendation, that itself is a good attribute of this product and says a lot. Another good feature is that these snips have an easy action spring which gently opens these blades after every single cut, which does help in reducing any hand fatigue. Another great feature is that these snips really help those of us who have Arthritis or Carpal Tunnel, or with limited hand strength, we get as we age. Again, these are very comfortable because of the Soft Grip Touch Points, so every time you use them, you get nothing but comfort but also control with the easy open lock & blade cover, that protects for it's safe storage. I have to say, that these little snips worked out much better then i originally thought. These may be small snips, but with it's Precision Blades, they do really well at pruning and cutting. I highly recommend this product to any person who has problems with their hands. They work great, and will not hurt your hand. It is also very easy to open these snips. These Fiskars Pruning Snips, come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty Very sorry but for some odd reason My pictures from One Drive will not for any reason upload and i don't understand why. If someone is able to help me i would appreciate it. I am very frustrated, i have done everything the way i always have, and now it will not accept my upload.
These clippers are exactly as described: useful for precise trimming and shaping only. They are very small and ideal for bonsai type trimming. They will not work with any branches or twigs bigger than about three centimeters in diameter. They will perfectly cut a honeysuckle tendril but not the developed twig. They work very well with my plumeria flowers but not the branches. You could snip rose buds with them but not a cane. The packaging is very easy to open as indicated by the Arthritis Foundation shield. The snips come with a hard plastic tip that covers the blades, making it safe to carry in a pocket. The spring action handles open and close easily. The lock/unlock button is a bit difficult to slide back and forth but that might just be my unit. A bit of oil should solve that problem. The packaging says the snips come with a full lifetime warranty.
The Fiskars Non-Stick Micro-Tip Pruning Snips garden scissors may be small and cute looking, but don't underestimate their snipping and pruning capabilities in your flower beds and garden! The high quality blades have a non-stick surface and are strong enough to easily cut through smaller twigs and had no problems helping me prune my overgrown rose bushes and remove dead palm tree fronds just in time for spring. The durable spring is very helpful at reducing fatigue when repeatedly cutting by automatically reopening the blades after each snip, which makes this a perfect pair of garden scissors for people who suffer from arthritis pain in their hands, making these scissors not only strong, durable and effective, but also very easy to handle for people of any age! I highly recommend these garden snips, small and gentle enough to even prune my bonsai with its micro-tip. These Fiskars pruning snips are also recognized by the official Arthritis Foundation! Excellent quality product and they do come with a blade cap for secure storage!
I am an avid gardener and flower farmer and I use these snips all the time! They're great to put in your pocket when you head out to the garden. The snips lock closed and have a soft protective cover for the blades. I use them to snip stems for bouquets, deadhead flowers, trim soft-stemmed plants, trim houseplants, etc. Great for precision cutting. The perfect size for small hands and have a soft grip handle that easily opens and closes. I bout a second pair because I like them so much (and tend to misplace them!) Highly recommend these micro-snips!
Perfect for pruning my vegetable garden and home grown flowers! I love to use these for quick precise cut backs. These also com in handy when I purchase fresh flowers to piece together bouquets. Residue doesn't stay on the blades and the handles have the softest grip! Every home gardener needs these in their toolbelt.
I am really impressed with the ease and effectiveness of the Micro Tip Pruning Sheers! I know I can always rely on Fiskars for affordable yet high-quality products!
little clippers but they take on tough jobs! they're easy to use and store and they can handle heavy trimmings. I used them for my rose bushes and they held up with no trouble. Worth every penny.
4.5 stars Firstly, this trimmer is easy to use and feels comfortable in your hand. It has a slider button so that you can close the blades up when you're not using them, which is a good safety feature. Because of its size, it's also easy to store. With the blades being shorter, you can get a closer cut on things like flowers, plants, or small bushes. In a pinch, I've also used these to open up things like bags of garden soil or mulch.
Same issue as the other users where the locking clip failed. I tried to super glue it but the way it fits into the slot causes the glued repair area to open up and falls apart again. Of course, super glue is probably not the right product to repair the lock so I gave up since they have a lifetime warranty - well, at least I gave it the old college try. Other than that, my wife absolutely loves them. one of them doesn't lock any longer but we use the tip protector "glove" to keep them closed in her gardening tool box. And the blade stays sharp with no cutting issues at all for the 12 - 14 months. Thinking about purchasing the titanium set next.
Sadly they broke after I used them twice. I only cut hens to bring inside. They were sharp. Easy to handle. But the plastic sliders in between the grip just popped of. Now you can't close them anymore. I cannot recommend. Spend a little more money.
