This is an excellent product for garden use. It's easy to handle while you're cutting things in the yard. I've used other brands in the past that were always stiff, often the spring mechanism will fail, and not as durable. But this one is great and you can tell it'll last long. Fits comfortably in my hand and my husbands hand. We use it for trimming our small to large bushes in the front and backyard. The quality of the garden snips is great. Comes with dual edge for versatility. You can use it like scissors use the outer, serrated edge to saw rope or twine. You definitely invest in quality when you order these. With Fiskars, the spring mechanism is perfect and smooth, it's also lightweight and easy to hold. It also comes in a wonderful case to make it easy to store. I also used this inside the house to cut open those tricky plastic packages for my orthotics or pens. It makes it a breeze! I would recommend Fiskar's Multipurpose Garden Snips to a friend or family. I would get this over the other types if you're not an avid gardener. It's a great multi-purpose tool that'll snip almost anything.

I received the Fiskar multipurpose garden snips through the Walmart Spark Reviewer program.This tool is very well made and very sturdy. The saw blade works great for small plant branches, while The straight blade cuts rope and plastic like a dream.The scissors work great trimming back rose bushes and trimming back flowers or any garden plants. These are a great gardening tool to keep with you out at the garden. And They fit snuggly and safely in their included sleeve That can be carried on your tool belt. After many uses, the blade is still very sharp. Just like new. I especially like the spring loaded handle that allows the ability to open and close the snips Quickly and safely. I think this tool is great for any backyard or front yard garden whether it be for flowers or vegetables or both. They Can be used to cut twine for trellises, or whatever Else needs to be done in the garden. Note: these are Not a yard tool. They are not intended for cutting branches from trees and logs. But as a garden tool, they are almost a necessity to make gardening easier. I will never again be without them in my garden.

This was just what I was looking for. So glad I found these. I wanted something smaller than a hand curved pruner. Light weight, spring action great, comfortable hand grip and Very sharp. Comes with a case to protect the blade and you. I would purchase again.

These are really sharp snips and I use them for pruning small plants that I keep on my porch, They really come in handy. I like that they come with a neat little pouch too. I can just clean them and put them back into the pouch and they are ready for the next use.

First of all, I needed this tool to open this packaging. Once we struggled to get it open, we noticed what a heavy- duty AND dangerous tool this is! It is very sharp and has 2 outer blades, as well, which is a bit scary. If those blades accidentally rub against your body or hands, it would be a bad cut. Also we found the case to be great quality, but with time, the tool is going to cut it up putting it in and out of case. We also played around cutting in the very hard plastic package. Wow! This tool cuts EASILY thru it. We get alot of packages that require cutting open. Finally! It is also very easy to use because it springs back....less stress on hand. LOVE IT! We tried cutting through a number of various items....wire, thick rope, even a piece of sheet metal, a shingle. .. EASY! I would highly recommend

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. I love these garden snips! They work great for everything from dead heading flowers to ripping open bags of mulch and dirt. The case keeps the blades covered so you don't accidentally cut yourself while moving around. The locking mechanism works great as well.

OMG, BEST Scissors Ever!!! It sounds weird to be this excited over garden snips but seriously, this is my new favorite scissor/knife/box opener. I know it's labeled garden snips but these babies are truly multipurpose. They're so great that I was looking for reasons to use them. The garden snips themselves have a nice locking mechanism that keeps the blades closed. This is actually my favorite mode. In this mode, you basically have a knife/box opener. There is a serrated edge and a smooth edge. Both are fantastic for cutting up cardboard boxes, slicing through duct tap, and I mean the tough gray kind that you can't rip, or cutting open those hard plastic packages that I feel like are always going to result in a plastic cut (like a paper cut but 100 times worse). The smooth edge is so sharp, I was actually able to use it to even slice wax paper into a perfect circle. It is super sharp so be careful. It comes with a holder that can also be placed on a belt. I would definitely keep it away from small children. The spring is really strong and if you use it for scissors, it will cut through almost anything. Truly, you can tell these are high quality. I love the design and how easy it is to use. I think the only thing I might want is one in a bigger size, but maybe they make one. I haven't checked. Overall super happy with these multipurpose garden snips. They are amazing! Highly recommend.

I have the multipurpose garden snips made by Fiskars. These are the neatest addition to my garage area. They are similar to scissors, yet different. I have used mine to open dog food bags, garden soil, and mulch bags. They can also be used to cut wire, weed eater line, netting, landscape fabrics, and just about anything else you can think of that you will need help opening. This tool has a multi-use stainless steel blade that has no problem cutting. There is also a serrated edge that is perfect for anything you may need to saw. The tool has a spring that allows the blade to open itself after each use and it also has a softgrip handle that aids in comfort as you hold it. The tool can be locked shut and stored in the nylon sheath that comes with it. The nylon sheath has a belt loop so you can attach it to your belt if you are working around and want to keep it on you. This tool comes with a full lifetime warranty. I am always working in the garage and need scissors to help with opening something or for cutting boxes to break them down. For the longest I had a pair of cheap scissors I kept out there, but these are so much better. I highly recommend you invest in a pair of these as you will be happy you did!

I absolutely love my Fiskars Multipurpose Garden Snips. I used them to prune flowers, cucumbers, eggplant and tomato plants and they did an excellent job. The cucumber vines are on the thicker side and these scissors cut right through with barely any pressure from me. I was outside for a good 2 plus hours and my hand was not tired at all. These pair fit perfectly between my thumb and pointer finger. They are extremely light weight. On the back of one of the blades it is serrated perfect for cutting line or rope. I have not used that part yet. I really hope these stay sharp because I do not want to use another brand ever! Also comes with a nice nylon sheath with a belt loop for storage and safety. These scissors are very sharp even when closed. Be careful with the point at the top, I accidentally would hit it from time to time when I was moving around in the garden. There is a orange clip that easily slides up and down to close or open the scissors. I would highly recommend these for a beginner or advanced gardener!

I've had these garden snips for about a week and in that time, they have come in handy several times. I will say this, I really wish I had them available when trying to remove them out of the heavy plastic package that these came in. It was a struggle to remove them. Once out of the package, I gave them a try outside on my rose bush. I was able to cut the roses and thorns with ease. For me, these will be more useful indoors. I had used them to remove a platic band off a new appliance cord. It cut nicely. i also removed leftover platic off the new appliance that i had purchased recently. The point on this garden sniper is sharp. It looks and unlocks by sliding the button up and down. Unfortunately, this is not completely child proof. My 6 year olds were able to unlock it. This also comes with a nice plastic and fabric storage pouch.
