I did not catch that these are 'micro', and they sure are! The size makes it easier to trim specific new growth or deadhead flowers without damaging other parts of the plant. Typical Fiskars quality, with the locking handle and a sheath to protect the blades.
these have been great for pruning my rose bushes. i've been using them for a little while now, and they are still in perfect condition! easy to clean, and still very sharp! just be mindful that you keep the locking mechanism down while snipping, if it slides up while you try to make a snip it might break it off since it's plastic! i hold the lock with my thumb while snipping, and haven't had any issues with anything breaking off or wearing down too fast. love that it comes with a safety cover too! ♡ 10/10 would buy again
I bought these for super fine trimming that I do and I've had them for almost a year now and they haven't let me down yet. I do a ton of trimming and the blades haven't even tried getting dull yet. But, like I said, I do more fine type trimmings with occasional up to probably 1/8 inch trimmings. These are designed I think for this smaller precision type work which they excel at.
They are very sharp and do the job well. My only issue is that the clasp that keeps them closed slips often while you're using them and pinches my fingers and locks the snippers again. It's irritating to have to keep moving the lock to reopen it
Same issue as the other users where the locking clip failed. I tried to super glue it but the way it fits into the slot causes the glued repair area to open up and falls apart again. Of course, super glue is probably not the right product to repair the lock so I gave up since they have a lifetime warranty - well, at least I gave it the old college try. Other than that, my wife absolutely loves them. one of them doesn't lock any longer but we use the tip protector "glove" to keep them closed in her gardening tool box. And the blade stays sharp with no cutting issues at all for the 12 - 14 months. Thinking about purchasing the titanium set next.
They are better than every competitors nippers I have tried but still not perfect. I have to keep mine cleaned with bleach and they do great but the springs rust. I need replacement springs. I have 10 pairs of nippers I can't use now. Sorry we call them nippers not pruning shears. With better springs they would be a 5 star.
I really liked these snips at first as the blades cut nicely for the first week. Then during week 2, while cutting a tiny leaf branch one of the blades snapped. I bought 2 pairs, and the other works fine (as of week 3) which is why I didn't give less stars.
Description on Walmart app said these were 10" long. They are not. They are 6" long which means the grips do not fit into mynpalms the way they are supposed to. uncomfortable to use.
these broke the very first cut I made, cutting a rose, from my rose bush. Maybe good if you only want to cut the leaf stem?
bought these prunners last month and they stick closed since day 1, even after i oil &clean. Will throw away and buy another brand.
