like the fact that the spring associated with automatically opening feature is hidden/non-exposed, and of all the units ever used, spring has never failed. Plus, the slide button, locking feature is effective, and it too, have never failed me. Lastly, if I attempt to cut off more than this clipper is designed to do, sometimes I will bend the metal brace, that parallels the cutting blade...easy remedy, just hit metal brace against something sturdy (like concrete steps) to bend this bar back, so as to be as close as possible to the cutting blade..wollah, it's fixed, and fully operational, again.

Finally, shears that I can hold onto without having to purchase a device that keeps the handles from opening wider than my grip.

I was replacing the same item because my original sheers went into my yard waste by accident. I was so glad Walmart had the same clippers at a good price.

These are the best pruners I have ever owned. They cut through limbs/branches as thick as my thumb. Fiskars has great products and this is one of them

Cheap but sturdy. The last 2 months I chopped down some trees and use it to trim off the small branches. I was impressed that this pruner can cut so thick branches.

I have been using this on a hill we have on the side of our house to prune about 50 individual shrubs. Hard to explain but they are massive and these pruners work great as I like a nice clean cut instead of using electric clippers. They go through some pretty thick branches and give it there all and more. My husband will sharpen them for me on occasion and then we are off and running again. I love these so much I went back and bought another pair to have on hand just encase hubby feels like helping!! :) they get quite a workout as I use them at least once a week and sometimes twice pretty much year round here in CA.

I found the bypass pruner to work well, but it was heavy in the hand. I do not have a lot of hand strength, having lost it as I aged, and my hand tired quickly as I tried to prune the beds.

My last ones broke not even 2 months after arriving...cheap junk. These are sturdier and do the job nicely. Hopefully they will last longer. Only drawback is they sometimes stick but I can work with that.

The box that the item came in was fine, but the Fiskars plastic package was broken and the cardboard insert was bent and mangled . If you look at the Pruners they looked like they were used and the locking mechanism malfunctions. I want a NEW ONE or My MONEY Back!
