This billhook is essential for every gardener! It is a little over thirteen inches long with a textured handle. As per the name, the hook at the end of the blade keeps the blade sharp by keeping it off the ground. Opposite the blade is a saw edge. This tool is useful for tilling, dividing, edging, and sawing small branches. In my case it is very helpful in cutting through roots. A sheath is provided to protect the tool.

I have fruit trees (apple, pear, and peach) and this works perfectly for pruning small offshoots. I have many different outdoor garden beds and my weed eater actually just died on me so this works perfectly to trim down the grass and weed that are around the edges of the edging that the mower won't reach. It also edges things like sidewalk edging etc. it's decently sharp but not overly sharp to the point that I'm going to cut my finger off thankfully 😂 easy to handle and maneuver. Easy to clean. And the sheath holds it securely so that it's safe when it's being stored! Great quality at a great price!

It feels well made, comes with a tough belt holster, and has a very sharp blade for cutting small branches off of trees. The handle feels solid in your hand. This is so much faster than trying to clip little branches with pruners. I can see this tool getting a lot of use next spring with our crepe myrtles. The instructions say that it'll work for edging and separating plants - and I think it would do a fine job at both of those tasks as well.

Very functional tool for sprucing the flower and shrub areas. The Fiskar Billhook Knife is great quality and versatile to get the job done. My neighbor borrowed it for a shrub and curb job. She loves it and is going to buy one for herself. Also the protective shield is the greatest.

When I selected this off the spark program I was thinking of my son and getting him to do some yard work. Well when it arrived and he first saw it his eyes lit up. He was like a kid at Christmas. He was fascinated by the design and just loved the case it comes with. He uses it almost daily and carries it everywhere. He showed a neighbor who had to ask where I had gotten it from. They both took turns hacking down stubborn bamboo, cutting off branches, and he uses it for trimming other plants like Oleander. The guy who mows the grass here in our park just love it. One thing I have noticed is that the Velcro seems to be wearing out already and for me that is a concern since it may end up falling off his belt when he is working. Overall this is a great tool. It has some weight to is and with its ergonomic handle & sharp blade it really makes doing those around the house (or in our case around the neighborhood) tree and plant trimming much less of a pain. I think maybe adding a snap on the belt loop would be a good addition to the Velcro so that you have a bit more security.

Easy to hold and use, I have smaller hands but this felt fine with me holding it in either position. Curved inner blade isn't sharp, but is still good at cutting various fiberous plant life. I prefer it this way so there are no accidental injuries using this. It's not a survival knife, mostly a garden tool. This could be used by older kids to help out in the garden while supervised. I have several small trees that needed to be pruned, but clippers and shears hurt to grip and use. Having a small saw like element on the back really helped clear things better for me. Also one handed, which is great! I used the curved inner blade to cut small twisty vines that attached to my fence row. I could really get under them and pull up to cut them, which had a much better feel than trying to cut them with a straight blade and either cutting down or up. As long as you understand its limits, this is a really great light duty tool. I'll be using it for lots of various duties around the yard. So I would recommend it to a friend based on my experience with it.

item just barely cut a twig. It doesn't saw well at all either and is a complete waste of money. Contacted the vendor and they wouldn't take it back because I was at 33 days( 3 over return window) It is a crappy product and I wouldn't order it
