Fiskars Machete Axe - 18" Curved Blade with Nylon Sheath, Orange/Black, 1 Count

My husband has not used this fiskars machete axe yet, but he absolutely loves the looks of it! We have a bunch of brush and scrubby trees to clean out of back of yard this summer, so he is looking forward to trying it out.

It was a little heavier than I thought it would be. But for taking off small branches and trimming up the small trees it's a trade off that works out quite well. It's sharp and the extra weight at the end is not a natural feel to me. I got used to it feeling unbalanced pretty quickly. Now I use the extra weight and top heavy balance to my advantage when taking out offshoot branches.

Sharp, very strong and the weight is just as you expected. Works so well you may need gloves so you don't swipe to hard and accidentally hurt yourself. (Accident prone fiance) It chopped down the tall stalks of pokeberry we have growing and the ivy on the trees so the kids can climb them again. Cut our pear tree limbs down for the season and it did it so effortlessly. Definitely loving having this is our home.

I have a Tree "stump" that had grown into my fence and I had no idea how I was going to get it out!! OMGOODNESS, This "Axe" was like a Saw too!! It took me approximately 30 minutes to get this Tree "stump" out of my fence with this AMAZING "AXE" and I NEVER thought I would EVER get it out!! Now I have been using it on all the Tree Limbs I need down. Just simply AMAZING!!

I was not expecting it to be this large! It is a beast, I take it with me in hikes through my woods. It is very great at chopping down thorn bushes that are in my way on the trails or smaller tree branches that have fallen into my way. It came with a sheath to cover it after use and it is great for protecting it and keeping it nice. It's a very convenient tool to have.

my only complaint so far is common with many bladed tool, the edge needed attention. i haven't used it a ton yet, but with a good edge it works great for clearing brush. im looking forward to using it more.
