Fiskars PowerGear2 Advanced Steel Lopper, 18" Garden Tool, Black/Orange

Purchased this lopper to trim some branches from a tree in our backyard. When I received this lopper I was quite surprised how small it is, but once I began cutting limbs I was amazed at how well it performed. This lopper is impressively mighty, it never let me down and cut through limbs with ease. Definitely recommend.

These are the smoothest clipper I've ever used. The gear makes for light work and wow are these sharp. These are absolutely worth the money. Nothing like trying to cut a thick branch with dull clippers. Not so with these. Highly recommend

Made my work a lot easier. I was able to trim back some over growth in the backyard as well as branches over my patio.

These clippers make quick work of trimming as long as you recognize the branch size! I highly recommend this tool!!!

these pruners are sharp, cuts larger branches than my old ones, without too nuch strength needed. cuts like butter!

I just love these loppers. I have the larger ones, but sometimes it's hard to get enough arm strength to cut larger limbs. Not with these. This size is alot more manageable for me (64 yr old lady) when I have to cut larger limbs. They arnt as heavy as the larger ones either. Sure, I have use for both. I live in Fl were things grow fast and if you dont keep up, it turns into a jungle. I've had other brands that dull easily, but these Fiskers stay sharp. I but a little 3in1 oil on the blades after use and that's it. I go to use them ac nd they are ready to go. Sometimes bigger isnt always better. You will love these

I was skeptical when these arrived. I hadn't seen a hinge mechanism like this one, and I wasn't optimistic about it. My husband, however, used them to clear our driveway, and said they “cut like butter.” He wasn't being sarcastic. I trimmed around the house, and they lopped right though limbs that were at least an inch thick with no real effort on my part. These feel durable without being too heavy, and do their job easily. I highly recommend them.

Let me start by saying that I love anything Fiskars makes! I have a variety of different Fiskars products, including another lopper, but being a 64 year old woman with significant arthritis in my hands, using the regular looper has become more uncomfortable for me to use. I LOVE this 18 inch lopper! I like the 18 inch length, as it makes it more manageable for me to use. Fiskars has incorporated an extra 'gear' into the design, which increases the cutting power and requires considerably less hand strength on the part of the user (me). This particular model cuts branches up to 1 1/2 inches and comes with a lifetime warranty. I love this lopper and you will, too!

Well this is a tough one to respond about. There is no doubt these have to be the sturdiest pruner I had ever seen. I bought most of our garden tools when we moved here in 2005, and added some every year. I do like shopping for these types of tools having been an obsessed gardening girl! Now it's been pretty difficult with a lot of old people illnesses, to handle very heavy garden tools, but every now and then, especially lately everything is so overgrown and needs pruning, I am eager to try these but my first reaction was when my husband who has to open most packages for me, was thrilled to see these fiskars pruner. (as a former part time hardware store employee before retirement for 11 years really liked anything having to do with Manley tools!) They are a bit weighty for my arthritic hands but they do look amazing. They really open further than our other longer pruners and I cannot wait to try them but it's been pouring rain. They are truly top notch made, far superior to our other 2 older pruners, and my husband sounds like he is going to confiscate them from me. I can only hope this will make him want to go outside and do some chopping! We both know what a great brand fiskars are, I believe I have several scissors by this brand, along with some lesser known. They are a brand that shows longevity, which we both always hope for when we make any hardware purchase. I do almost love them, that was the only reason I gave it 4 stars, it's just a we bit too heavy for me to use for an hour or two, at a time.
