Fixed Harvesting Knife

way better than I expected. nice balance, extremely sharp. Perfect size for garden use. Handle fits my hand very well. The case at first seem like hard cheap plastic. But after I pulled knife out I understood. I actually ordered couple more for gifts. Nice to toss in tackle box also.

It's very much working good for me. My micro greens seem to love the cuts that I make with it. Thank you.

What a great tool to have this time of year when cutting back for winter is about the only gardening I seem to do. The serated blade is very sharp! I been cut down some bamboo that was beginning to get out of control!!! What more could you ask for?!!! Like I said ..WHAT A GREAT TOOL!!!AND THE SHEATH MAKES IT REALLY CONVENIENT!!!!!

This knife is perfect for cutting and harvesting produce, it's exactly the right size and feels great in your hand while using it. I love that it folds and stores away in my pocket while I'm in my garden. Produce vines and stems are no match for its extremely sharp stainless steel blade. I appreciate that it has a pronounced indentation on both sides of the blade so you can grab the blade effortlessly when trying to open the blade to its cutting position. A push-button lock keeps it secure when it's open and you just push the button for easy closure! I am glad the outer shell of the blade storage area is two-tone orange and black so that I can see it easily if it's on the ground or anywhere for that matter. This is a wonderful knife but please be careful of the extremely sharp blade. The slight curve at the end of the blade is really handy. A friend of mine has a huge garden and he insists that everyone cut the fruits and veggies instead of pulling them off. This is the perfect tool.

This knife is one of the few, I will be using in my garden. At first glance it looks simple, not much to it. That is the beauty of it. I was really surprised at how light it is. I honestly feel like I am holding nothing when I use this. The tip of the blade is curved in slightly, to allow for movement and placement of the blade before you cut. It makes it easier to avoid accidents. Using this knife with my tomato plants, was the same as using it on my other veggies as well, it cut without hesitation and it fit into every angle I needed, never a dull moment. I find this Fiskars Folding Produce harvesting knife very easy to work with, very versatile as well. It locks in place while I work, now I can worry less. I absolutely recommend this to any gardener, at any stage. This is a handy piece of equipment to have on hand in your garden box.

It's small, the handle is plastic, and it's not particularly thick, but it should last a long time. The blade does not close properly. Tension keeps it closed, but over time, this may wear off, and you'll have to worry about the blade opening up. We'll have to wait and see. When you open it, the blade locks, but there is a button on the handle to unlock it and allow the blade close. The blade is razor-sharp, and the edge extends nearly the whole length of the blade. The curvature at the blade's tip is effective at hooking the stem of a plant and allowing it to snip through it with ease. My only major concern with a folding blade is that you'll need to thoroughly clean and dry it before using it in the garden. I've already discovered many instances when it's become dirty as a result of my gloves, falling to the ground, etc., and this can wind up inside the handle, causing complications with the opening. Just keep in mind that after you've washed it, you should dry it instead of putting it away wet.
