Fixed Harvesting Knife

I live in Central Florida and have a TON of elephant ear plants that I have a love/hate relationship with. If you have these you know they eventually fall over and need to be cleaned out for new growth. I was using a large pocket knife to swipe at the base of the plant before it turned brown. This knife is MUCH better for that purpose. It's very sharp and the blade is heavy duty. The extra length makes it perfect for this chore. Plus it has a clip-on holster that I like because the other way I was doing it, I had to either close the knife or lay it somewhere.

I love Fiskars products and this harvesting knife is the same quality that I have come to expect from them. I'm a gardener and I will get a lot of use out of this knife. I love that it comes with a hard plastic sheath as well. It feels good in my hand and has a nice grip. Quality item!! Get one!!

This knife is very nice. It seems to have everything that I need when using a knife in my garden. I haven't found anything that I don't like about it!! It has a rubber grip on the handle, so my muddy hands don't slide when using it! I like the serrated edge that is on just part of the blade. Helps, especially when cutting thru tough vines! The sheath is very easy to get the knife out of and it even has a guide to help the knife go back in smoothly and quickly! It also has a nice belt loop, to keep it right at my side and within reach! So far this is the perfect garden knife! I highly recommend it!!

I got this garden knife for my wife. She loves how easy it is to trim plants and how comfortable it feels in her hand. It's a great tool to have for flower beds and gardens. The knife keeps an edge with all the trimming and seems to be a good quality steel.

This small produce harvesting knife has a blade of only 3 inches long. It is very sharp and has a curved tip, so cutting is easy with one backward stroke. It is ideal to cut leafy vegetables at the stems near the ground, leaving the roots to compost in soil over the winter. Its small size allows one to harvest vegetable without harming its neighbors. It can also be used to harvest fruits and squashes. The knife can be folded when it is not being used. It is highly recommended for avid gardeners.

This stainless steel garden knife is 10-7/8" long with a 5-3/4" blade, and an ergonomically designed handle. The orange color on the handle will stand out in most environments. The cutting edge is half serrated and half straight, and the slanted end is also great for cutting directly into a stalk. It reminds me most of my kitchen bread knife in size and basic appearance. It comes with a hard plastic sheath to keep it safe, and can be hung from your belt or stored hung upside down on a hook (by the hole at the end of the handle). It made short and easy work of cutting down this year's asparagus foliage. We will definitely use this to cut our asparagus, cucumbers, kale and squash next season. A very useful and well constructed tool for the avid gardener.

I am super impressed with this full tang stainless steel harvesting knife. You'd be amazed at how many uses there are for a blade like this with a relatively flattened front edge vs. a sharp point. It is well-suited to all kinds of gardening work, including weeding, harvesting vegetables, or even trimming trees and bushes. I've used it for these purposes, for camping applications, and just as a box cutter inside the house. It comes with a decent plastic sheath which is a little flimsy, but good enough. The blade itself is quite beautiful, and the handle is lightweight with a good grip. It also features a bit of a serrated edge near the base of the blade, helpful for sawing through whatever needs sawing. Really nice knife, very pleased.

I love gardening so I can provide my family with the freshest vegetables and herbs. When I’m gardening, I like to have great tools to help me. I received my Fiskars Folding Produce Harvesting Knife about a week ago and it fits perfectly in my hand comfortably. It has a perfect sharpness which gives me a great cut! With it being November my tomatoes and other veggies are no longer in season but my herbs are still going strong and my Fiskars Folding Produce Harvesting Knife helps me easily cut them as needed. I can’t wait til next spring/summer to use the Fiskars Folding Produce Harvesting Knife on my produce as well!

I received the Fiskars Folding Produce Harvesting Knife to use and give my honest opinion. Out of the package I liked it right away. I love the orange and black colors. That makes it easy to find if you drop it. It does take 2 hands to open it. I have smaller hands and this knife fit my hand perfectly. When it is opened and the blade is locked it is very comfortable to use. It has a nice stainless steel blade and that will last and helps with cleanup. The blade is what we always called a hawk bill. It has a curve on the end that makes it easy to hook onto whatever you are cutting. There is no wiggle at all in this little compact knife. This Fiskars Folding Produce Knife Closes to a compact size that makes it easy to fit into my pockets. The hard plastic handle seems sturdy and high quality materials. It doesn't pinch or aggravate your hand when using it. A lot of knives like this makes my hands sweat. Not so with this knife. I guess it is because of the quality of material. I used it to cut and separate my flowers. It sliced through them cleanly and quickly. I really like this little Fiskars Folding Produce knife. It also comes with a lifetime warranty which is fantastic. It a good deal for the price. About the only con I have with this knife is that when I clean it I'm afraid gunk will get stuck in the hinge. I always clean my tools after use. It does seem that it got dull rather quickly. All in all I gave it 4 stars!

It’s that time of the year to take down the garden. This little knife came in to use for my aching hands. Instead of using the big boy tools I was able to take my time and cut down vines that had grown up the fence. The only issue was it dulled out pretty easily luckily I had a knife sharpener handy. Overall it’s a good gadget to keep around. I also used it to harvest some of my beautiful veggies.
