Fixed Harvesting Knife

I live in Central Florida and have a TON of elephant ear plants that I have a love/hate relationship with. If you have these you know they eventually fall over and need to be cleaned out for new growth. I was using a large pocket knife to swipe at the base of the plant before it turned brown. This knife is MUCH better for that purpose. It's very sharp and the blade is heavy duty. The extra length makes it perfect for this chore. Plus it has a clip-on holster that I like because the other way I was doing it, I had to either close the knife or lay it somewhere.

I love Fiskars products and this harvesting knife is the same quality that I have come to expect from them. I'm a gardener and I will get a lot of use out of this knife. I love that it comes with a hard plastic sheath as well. It feels good in my hand and has a nice grip. Quality item!! Get one!!

This knife is very nice. It seems to have everything that I need when using a knife in my garden. I haven't found anything that I don't like about it!! It has a rubber grip on the handle, so my muddy hands don't slide when using it! I like the serrated edge that is on just part of the blade. Helps, especially when cutting thru tough vines! The sheath is very easy to get the knife out of and it even has a guide to help the knife go back in smoothly and quickly! It also has a nice belt loop, to keep it right at my side and within reach! So far this is the perfect garden knife! I highly recommend it!!

Seems a bit heavy which for me indicates it's not chintzy like made. The handle is anti slip, and the blade is very sharp as well as versatile. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a harvesting knife. Shaves time off cutting as well as makes a tedious job less of one.

This is a high quality cutting tool. The blade is sharp and thick. It cuts smooth and does not require excessive force to get the job done. It comes with very well constructed sheath that allows the user to clip the knife to a belt loop. I would recommend this tool for anyone interested. It is a valuable addition.

This is a really great little folding knife - and very sharp so be careful! I have used it for a lot of different things, so much that I think I need to get a few more so I can designate them for just one purpose. I have picked veggies and fruits with it, and the blade just slides right through the tender and thickest of attachments. I have used it for flower cutting, both roses and hydrangeas so far, and it works great for both kinds of stems. I would love to have another for just the kitchen, to open packages or maybe slice through items. The ability to fold also makes me happy because it will keep my fingers safe! Overall, this has worked really well, beyond my expectations for it.

I really like this harvesting knife. It cuts through vines and weeds and it is excellent to use for harvesting vegetables. It also works well in the kitchen for cutting up vegetables. We have discovered a special use for this knife. My wife is a great cook and bakes bread quite often. Unfortunately she is sensitive to gluten and yeast, so she bakes an oat bread that tastes great, but it is not your average soft bread. We have joked that we really should use a saw rather than a knife to cut through it. This knife is sharp and sturdy and easily cuts right through the hard bread.

I got this garden knife for my wife. She loves how easy it is to trim plants and how comfortable it feels in her hand. It's a great tool to have for flower beds and gardens. The knife keeps an edge with all the trimming and seems to be a good quality steel.

This knife works great! The blade and handle are very sturdy. The handle is easy to grip. I love that it comes in a plastic sheath so no one gets cut trying to reach in the drawer for it. Slices through broccoli and English muffins as well as many other things with ease. The blade on the curved end made it really easy to cut out tiny rotted portions out of the head of broccoli.

The only thing I wish is that there was a serration sufficient so I could cut tougher things. I could see rose pruning because this is narrow instead of using those scissor-like pruners. It cuts through purple cabbage stems nicely! It cleans up nicely under a faucet. I trust the Fishers brand and I don't expect any problems with rust or the handle breaking.
