Fiskars Xact Trowel, Stainless Steel, 1 Piece, Orange and Black This little trowel may be small, but it is mighty! Very well-made, solid handle, sturdy metal shovel. Handle is comfortable in your hand and does not cut into your palm when digging in even hard ground. It is a great size for making holes to plant bulbs in! My husband uses a trowel like this to clean our gutters and he says this is his new favorite tool! The bright orange handle makes it easy to spot when you set it down in the garden somewhere. I will be looking for more tools by Fiskars! I highly recommend this, but will never be buying another because it has a LIFETIME warranty!

I've bought similar items before but I've never actually been impressed. They've been okay, don't get me wrong. But this, this is IT. It is stainless steel so rust is the last of my worries and has a lifetime warranty but honestly I don't think I'd even need to replace it. It has a good grip; not slippery, it has a good weight. Not too heavy, but heavy enough to know that it's a quality product. I love gardening so I'm really loving this. Don't hesitate to get yours.

The Fiskars Xact trowel is one heavy-duty piece of garden equipment. The head of the trowel is impressively big. I was able to move significantly more dirt because the walls of the trowel were higher and able to carry more back and forth. It is also made out of stainless steel so it should not rust. I have not had it long enough to confirm but I trust that it will hold up over time. The handle is thick and feels great in the hand. It is also more comfortable compared to my trowel with a wooden handle. It is soft but not squishy. My only complaint is that the bump on the underside for resting my index finger could be updated. It offered some support but the position seemed a bit odd given that the handle is so long. The hole on the end of the handle is helpful for hanging up the tool in my shed. The edge of the trowel is sharp enough to dig through some dry dirt but not so sharp that it would be dangerous to use. I have enjoyed using this trowel in my garden and I look forward to the next planting season!

Light weight yet very strong built, it is a quality product with a comfortable handle and does the job perfectly. I've been using it to get weeds and grass out along the edge of my driveway. I'm very satisfied with this product and definitely recommend.

This trowel has a perfect ergonomic feel when you hold it. The tool has some weight to it (not too heavy, but it feels sturdy) and the shape of the handle is perfect for digging. Due to when I received this product, I haven't been able to use it properly in my garden yet, but I gave it a test drive and it works beautifully. I've bought trowels before that I thought were “the good ones” but I didn't realize how awkward they were to use until I tried this one. The others made my wrists hurt almost immediately and I just thought that's how it was. Background info: I used to use a computer almost all day at work so my wrists aren't great to begin with. This tool just feels a lot better than others I have had and tried in the past. I can very much recommend this.

This is a larger sized trowel with a longer rubberized handle. I like it because you can get a better grip when dealing with tougher dirt. It's heavy duty and has a solid simple construction. The scoop itself is angled to remove and relocate dirt primarily for planting. Should work great and last a long time as long as it's not left out in the weather. I recommend it.

The Xact trowel is a very sturdy trowel that makes gardening so much easier. I am not a very strong person, and this trowel made it easy to pop some bulbs out of a garden bed that is in the ground so that they could be replanted some place else. The trowel enabled me to easily get the whole bulb out of the ground, without harming the bulbs. With the ground being so hard, my other trowel could not dig into the soil. The sharp edge on this trowel went into the ground with little effort, and dug down as deep as I needed to go. I am so happy with this trowel, it really has let me enjoy gardening again. With as hard as the soil is here, it did not bend the trowel when popping the bulb out, so I think it is sturdy enough to last for a lifetime of use, with out bending. This really is an excellent gardening tool.

I buy Fiskars because I know it is high quality. The trowel is like any other Fiskars product - durable and well made. It's handle is long so a large or small hand can use it comfortably. There is a grip so it won't slide around if your hand is moist when you're using in warmer temps. The trowel part is made of stainless steel and is very durable. It starts off narrow, which helps in digging a hole, and widens/deepens closer to the handle so you can capture a good amount of dirt. I have had tools where the metal breaks off from the handle, and I am confident this tool won't do that. It comes with a Lifetime Warranty so I feel doubly assured because of that.

I recently received the Fiskars Xact Trowel. It is a monster of a hand trowel at 2.50 x 4.00 x 14.63 Inches. It seems well put together with the welds done nicely on the stainless steel head. It has a rubberized grip that I am not too sure of and am not totally comfortable with using. The purpose of the trowel is to dig, pry and turn tough soil. There is nothing in the grip to prevent hand slippage besides the grip being rubber-like. Usually on hand tools like this there is some sort of nub that will give the hand a pressure point to prevent the hand from sliding down the handle and hitting a tool head in a potentially damaging encounter. So, when having a dirty and damp hand on this, I think a user is going to have to be vigilant when using so as not to injure themselves. There should be no problem on loose soil. On tough jobs where having to put some pressure on the grip, watch your hand!
