Fiskars 18 Inch Tempered steel Machete Saw, Black

I love this machete! The saw, not so much. However, I bought this for the machete and it has not disappointed. The chopping is awesome! My yard work was cut in half and I didn't break a sweat. I combined the machete with a heavy duty lopper and voila! I won't dread yard work from this point on. Bear in mind that this doesn't come with a sheath. I kept the plastic that it came in as well as the tall shipping box. Not a major inconvenience, but the sheath would've been a nice touch. Not withstanding, this still has earned five stars. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the whistling sound the blade makes as I cut through the air and stroke this bush on my lawn. We used to live in the mountain and one of the common tools we use is a machete/bolo knife. This reminds me of those days when we go to the forest and harvested pineapples. But for this purpose, I used it to clear this bush that has been covering another plant. I cannot use my hedge trimmer or my blade hedge shears because this was way thicker for them and I might break them or my wrist. This is the right tool for the right job. The saw side of the blade was perfect too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you need a machete, you need one,it's beautifully designed with a steel blade,one side is smooth for precise cutting and the other side have ridges tou can use on the outdoors to cut the edges and the grass. I love this machete, and I would recommend it ,it's affordable and efficient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an impressive tool. One side of the machete is jagged with sharp teeth, the other side is a smooth sharp blade. It works flawlessly. I have strong invasive plants that have been on my property for many years. They grow very tall and take over . This machete is perfect, it glides right through them. It makes it simple to cut through to make walkable paths. They are a needed tool for our land!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband used the Fiskars Machete Saw to trim the overgrown weeds in our garden. The machete blade worked the best. It was light weight and sharp. The saw portion is a bit awkward to use. Safety is a must when using this product. I would like to see it have a safety cover.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been trimming some bushes and shrubs in my yard, and it's convenient to have both a machete and a saw in the same tool. The machete blade is sharp, and I like it for removing tall grass that has crept into the perimeter of our property. The saw is is useful to me for very small branches (my husband had much better results than I on branches that were thicker). I like that it is well-balanced and feels sturdy. I find this to be a handy tool, but I wish it came with a protective sheath for storage.

While the machete seems to be of good quality and has a respectable warranty it has a major drawback. Without a sheath it is essentially not transportable. This is therefore a poor choice for camping, hiking, or even occasional use away from the toolshed. If you have property than needs frequent removal of brush then you likely have better equipment for the job. The whole point of a machete is that it is lightweight and portable. Without a sheath you have to carry it by hand.

There is the new with the delivery person. Our door had a sign the read please delivery next door. But instead of that, he decided to just leave it right outside the door of a busy shopping center, causing a homeless to take it and entering another homeless.
