Ozark Trail Forge 7-in Fixed Blade Knife with Stainless Steel Blade and Polypropylene Handle

i was actually pleased with the quality of the knife especially for the low price. i do own knives anywhere from $30.00 up to $500.00 and wanted something cheap to use for working around the house without damaging my more expensive ones. this will definitely do the job.

This knife is the perfect size to carry every day. It came very sharp and has a solid build quality. Even the sheath is well made and allows easy removal and replacement of knife. The only thing that didn't appeal to me was the snap to retain the knife in the sheath. I found is a little awkward to open and close,and felt that it wasn't necessary to keep the knife in the sheath. No problem though,the knife is so sharp it sliced the strap with the snap off cleanly with minimum effort. It's hard to believe such quality was so inexpensive!

The knife was pretty basic, but for such a low price to have a knife just to use as a throwaway was a great option. I like my expensive Benchmades right. But I just keep them in the box as safe queens because I've got a touch of OCD so I don't want them getting scratched or scuffed up. It's like going for a girl that's a 3 rather than a 7 because you just want to have a good time without worrying about any pressure or disappointment if it goes badly. So yeah, for like $6 it was a great value. The knife I mean, not the girl.

Be careful opening the packaging. There's no safety piece over the top of the blade and it's VERY easy to poke yourself, as I did. Great knife otherwise!

A little brute of a knife! Heavy, sturdy, solid, full tang blade, excellent sheath. The blade on this knife is meant for work. At 3mm wide, this can handle anything you throw at it. Beefy and strong.

The knife and sheath are well made ! The knife was sharp out of the package, but I sharpened mine to my liking . It's not to large to comfortably wear on my belt I find the size perfect, it doesn't poke my truck seat , and is fine for everyday carry. I use mine around the property, to open feed bags , boxes , and general use. I can put my index finger over the point, to zip open a Deer Gut . I used marker to modify the Ozark Trail logo on the sheath.

Low quality, soft steel with a plastic handle. Yes this knife is cheap but it's constructed solidly. If you need a better knife (and many people do) you should just buy one, but this Ozark Trail knife is adequate for many light duty tasks. Looks good for a cheap knife too with a traditional design and since the steel is soft it can easily be sharpened with a silly little pocket sharpener which I have on my keychain all the time anyway. This is not a camping knife but its a decent little EDC fixed blade for under $8 with a good quality sheath included. I can't find much to complain about at this price.

I like it, I really like it. For a sort of last ditch belt knife it s good and specially at less than ten bucks. Fairly sharp out of package. Solid and good grip.

poor packaging. try not to stab yourself when opening the package, there is not a protective cover for the tip of the blade

although it was what I was looking for, it doesn't do me any good if it is as dull as a butter knife
