Fiskars Axe and Knife Sharpener

The Fiskars Sharpening File is about Six inches long,it is a Diamond Coated surface it restores sharpness with just a few passes,it is ideal for removing nicks and burrs that are caused by sharpening the surface,this file really does work very well so now i can actually cut the small limbs,twigs,and vines without just bending them over.It sharpens knives quick and easy and it only takes a minute or two and it is done and they are as good as new.Sharpen one side of the blade and turn it over and file off the nicks and burrs that might be left behind,it really is that easy.The Fiskars File has a lifetime warranty and you can not beat that.This is a tool you will want to keep in the garden shed.I am glad i got it and you will be to.

(World #1 Pruner)well i have a couple of lawn Tools and it is almost time to get outside and work my Garden i have a couple of Pruning tool and small shears that needed sharpening and this Tool was small enough to do the job and get up on the end of the Tools and NOW i have very Sharp Pruning & Shears tools..it was easy to use just back and forward will sharping the tool and the handle keep it from slipping while sharpening!this is a great must have Tool for Small Tools job!

I bought this to sharpen my Fiskars 36" super-splitting axe (which I love); and found that the sharpener isn't really needed for that. It seems better suited for knives. In just a few minutes, it'll put a really nice edge on a decently maintained blade. Best after using a stone to get any obvious nicks out.

Nice small file type FISKARS knife sharpener works great for sharpening kitchen knives. Has an orange colored neoprene handle that makes it easy to grip / control.

I am writing to find the status of the ceramics in the housing that can be replaced. The sharpener works. This is good but how can I find out about the ceramics and where to purchase them?

some of the handles make it hard to sharpen the knives. the knives themselves don't appear to be that much sharper. Maybe they are just super dull and need quite a few more sharpenings.

a knife and hatchet sharpener maybe. when trying to use it for my felling axe the plastic clip for easy cleaning broke off then it just rolled with each swipe making it useless. If i put the clip on and try to hold it, it becomes a safety issue. 0 out of 5 - not for axes.

Fiskars is a good name so bought for that reason. As a knife sharpener it is great. As an axe/hatchet sharpener completely inadequate as it is too small! How do I know this? My father had his own lumberjack business and we grew up as lumberjacks. We know how to sharpen chain saws, axes, hatchets, and wood peelers. I am also a tailor and learned the Fiskars name through quality shears. You cannot imagine my disappointment with this sharpener. It should NEVER be advertised and or listed as an ax sharpener.
