Fiskars Bulb Planter, 2.25" Diameter, 1 Each, Orange

This little tool Works quite well. I decided to plant some lilies. I needed large holes for my bulbs and they needed to be 4 to 6 in. deep. To use this tool you have to squeeze the handle and it opens up. You push it down into the soil and then stop squeezing so the bottom will contract and then you pull up and the dirt comes out along with it. Super simple. Not a lot of guesswork at all. It even has measurements on the side to tell you how deep the hole you're digging will be. I used this to plant 6 bulbs today and plan on using it for more projects here at our new home. I am super pleased with the product and the design. Very user-friendly and something I will use on a regular basis.

The easy to press side button opens and closes the scoop for easy dirt removal. This tool takes the guess work out of planting. The hole it creates is the perfect size ... In the past, I have used a small garden shovel and had to dig small holes for my flower bulbs. Two years ago, I dug 50 holes and planted my bulbs. It took all day. I did not plant deep enough and wasted my time and money, because they were eaten by the animals. Some even just came out of the ground when it rained because they were not planted deep enough. I was happy to receive this bulb digger for review. Using this bulb digger, I was able to get the holes for my bulbs to the perfect size and depth. I was able to dig the holes very easily, with almost no effort on my part. I planted bulbs in my whole area, about 50 bulbs. It only took me about half an hour to dig all of the holes with this bulb digger and plant. I can't wait until they grow. I love to have nice flower gardens and for me; I prefer to grow my flowers from seeds and bulbs. This bulb digger helps tremendously, quick and easy for a beautiful bed of flowers. This digger is very sturdy, quality made. If you squeeze the handles, you can make the holes wider. There are markings on the side to let you know how deep you are making the holes. The dirt stays in the digger and lifts out like a plug of dirt, so nice.

Use the base of the planter and mark out the pattern you want in the dirt and then feed the bulbs into the top and just push and squeeze for the perfect depth everytime. This bulb planter takes the work out of the process and is fun to use!!! No more tired hands and it cuts the time to plant in half! I highly recommend.

Fiskars bulb planter is perfect for this spring. If you are thinking about starting your harvest garden, this bulb planner is perfect. We started with the scallion and it was perfect. Every bulb we use is perfect. It brings a handle that is perfect to hold without any problem. It has very good grip when planting the bulbs. The steel part is very resistant does not bend

The timing on this product couldn't have been better! Last weekend I started ripping up my back lawn, and decided to plant a "victory garden". I got all of the grass pulled up, and it was time to get some vegetable starters into the ground. First off, to fully appreciate how truly amazing this product is, you need to know, I'm dealing with thick clay soil, lots of small rocks, and numerous random roots. It took a little bit of a learning curve, but once I figured it out, this little tool cut through the clay soil like a knife through butter. It even tore up the roots and cleared the way for new plants! It dug out the holes the perfect depth for the veggie starts. I did have a little bit of an issue clearing the tool of soil after digging the hole, but again, my soil is legit clay. All and all, this is an excellent little tool, it would be especially great to use in an established garden. I would definitely recommend it!

I just started dabbling in planting so I thought I would try this tool. Wow is it helpful and easy to use. For anyone that does want to plant bulbs or already does, don't hesitate to one. It really helps you organize your holes, get the depth just right and cover the bulbs so perfectly. Excellent gardening tool. have to use it with soft soil, or moist the ground before starting would be helpful.

I have sand soil in Florida so it does what I need. Not sure if this will hold through hard sand soil. We'll see later, I do wish I had this before when I plant bulbs it does make it so much easier and faster. FYI- this is good for small top medium bulbs not so much for the large. I would definitely recommend

My Fiskars bulb planter got the job done. The orange plastic handle is comfortable to hold. It also has measurements on the slide that help you judge depth appropriately for planting bulbs. This feature made me happy as I'm not very talented at guessing depth in the ground. It was slightly more difficult to use than I anticipated. It requires some hand dexterity and strength to squeeze the handle correctly to open and close it. This product would prove to be difficult for someone that has issues with hand strength or arthritis in their hands/ wrists.
