This product makes cutting quilting fabric a snap. It is easier on my hands than my rotary cutter and I especially love it for cutting perfect squares. The numbers are easy to read. The blade remained sharp for several weeks but I had a spare at the ready.
This is a very easy to use tool. Unfortunately, I ordered it online and the blade, blade cover and the nut that keeps the blade and cover together where loose and the nut was missing. There for I had to return it and reorder. The product is wonderful if you receive it in one piece. Or if you receive all the pieces .
YOU NEED THIS if you are a craft person. It changed my life!!. It's literally my all time favorite item in my sewing room and can be used for multiple different projects. The only thing you'll regret is that you didn't buy it sooner. I do recommend changing out the blade that it comes with to a stronger 45mm. I switched it for the Fiskars 45mm Titanium. This rotary ruler is well worth the price.
I haven't had it long and I'm still learning how to use it. I love how easy it cuts and I can cut multiple layers of fabric. I wish I had this years ago when I was piecing lots of quilts!
Having this Friskars Rotary Cutermakes sewing so much more a joy. The cutter saves on the strain on my hands when cutting. The ruler makes designing much more accurate. This is my second Fiskars Rotary Cutter and Ruler Combo, I keep one in my Christian Books and Crafts Store where I sell Quillows, Pillows, Church Lap Scarves, Aprons plus more, that I design and make. The other Fiskars Rotary Cutter and Ruler Combo I keep in my design studio at home. Love my Fiskars Rotary Cutter and Ruler Combo, can't do with out it. <3
I love this ruler. I can finally cut a straight line! No more fabric waste! The only drawback is I feel like the blade handle has loosened some from the ruler, I may have been pushing down too hard but it still works. That's the only reason I gave it four stars
I have been cutting with it for about 2 weeks. The blade is loose. I don't know to fix it. It was working great, now I can't cut with it. I think it is missing a part. I have limited sight so it was what I needed. This is the second one I have. The other one is by Sew Easy. I can't get it to work.
Ive had this for one month and the ease of use ? Hmm. It cuts well but after using it for a day maybe two and for about 6-8 hours each day cutting nothing but T-shirt fabric did a clean cut until it didn't . There's no lock to the blade so keep away from toddlers must out it high up the blade just sticks out . The sturdiness was not so well mine snapped in half out of no where . It was high in price for it to break so quickly and easily .
It would not cut through more than 2 layers of quilter's cotton fabric. For me it was a waste of money. If someone has problems with their hands that make using a regular rotary cutter difficult, this might be a good option. But it wasn't for me.
The blade handle is easy to use but you can't see where the blade is cutting or if it cut all the way through the fabric until after you move the ruler. You also can't use it to cut narrow strips of fabric because the cutting track blocks sight of anything less than about 1 or 1.5 inches. It's impossible to line up to cut at a certain place in the pattern or to cut along mark because you can't see where the cut is being made.
