I have always been happy with Fiskars, but this one does close all of the way to prune correctly.

The cast iron on these chipped on the second cut while trimming off shoots from grape vines. These were not thick vines.

Not durable
After first day's use the blade would not lock. The button was "iffy" before I used it, but the blades won't close after dead-heading hydrangeas.
