I chose to get this particular sewing kit because it is TSA approved. My husband travels regularly and due to heavy wear, his pants get a lot of rips. This is just what he needed. This kit has different color threads, needles, a tape measure, a needle threader, buttons and a pair of scissors. I would recommend this for travelers who need a compact kit that is TSA approved or for mothers who would like to have an emergency kit in their purse.

Why do buttons fall off right before the big presentation? I'm in the hotel room and the only clean dress-shirt I have for the next day has a button come lose. That is where this little sewing kit shines. Everything in a small plastic box, not much bigger than a box of matches, or a car key fob. Needle, thread, scissors plus a measuring tape. I'm not sure when I would use the measuring tape, maybe in finding the right spot for the button. The scissors are a new design for me and feel very precise. It also has the tool that helps you thread the needle. A must for any sewing kit. It's all together and doesn't weigh much, so keeping one in the suitcase is standard practice going forward. Just remember to replace the thread you used when you get home.

This Friskar travel sewing kit is just what i needed. Certain things are essential whenever we leave for a vacation or business trip. This kit has the perfect contents....from the thread to the measuring tape and scissors. Speaking of scissors, love hoe they fold down for traveling. Although the functionality seems a bit off. You have to push each tip towards the center manually as opposed to being able to squeeze at a singular point and causing the blades to fold simultaneously to the folded position. That being said, it's not a show stopper so I would definitely recommend this kit to others esp moms lol.

I just love this little travel sewing kit. It's compact yet has everything you may need for a quick mend. The scissors are very nice for a travel kit. They can be a bit tough to unfold, but they are sharp enough to get the job done. Most travel sewing kits have very cheap feeling little scissors. That is not the case with these. There is a small amount of thread of standard colors, couple of straight pins, safety pins and a couple buttons. It also has a needle threader which I need every time to thread a needle. It definitely saves on the frustration of threading a needle. Highly recommend this kit.

Good kit to have at home, great for travel.

I was actually surprised how much stuff was in this little box. Includes everything you might need in an emergency, and the box itself is small enough that I can actually slide it into the zippered compartment of my purse. I liked the way the box closes tightly so I don't have to worry about it coming open unexpectedly. The scissors are very sharp but a bit difficult to completely open up but I think that will change over time, the more they're used. Very pleased with us little set and would definitely buy it again!

This little sewing kit is perfect for on the go and travel. It's so small and fits perfectly in my purse. It comes with everything you need to make a fix or adjustment in a emergency and it all fits effortlessly in a small hard plastic case. I like that the scissors fold down and meet TSA guidelines. There are several thread colors included which is nice. The needles and safety pins and buttons are a little small, but there's room that I could add larger ones if I wanted and would still work good if I needed to use them. Overall a nice kit that will come in handy.
