I've had 4 Fitbit watches now and have found they do what they promise in their advertising.. I broke my last Charge 5 trying to remove the band from the watch. I believe it was out of warranty, so I didn't even ask for assistance, but if the same thing happens trust me, I'll have a fit. I really want a more upscale band, and bought a set of three through a website about really good quality after market stuff fitted for each fitbit watch. Edie Cain
This is the older Charge 5 so I would recommend buying the Charge 6. Band broke shortly after getting and it was replaced. Bu now it's getting glitchy. Battery drained from 73% - 0 and didn't know until next morning. Rebooted it and occasionally a very fast FALSE heartrate is alerting me. I have to take it off to get it to reset.
Fitbit should include a nylon or fabric type wristband with their trackers. Every single one I have purchased over the years causes a rash on my wrist. Leaving the tracker off a bit each day doesn't help either. At any rate thats a dumb suggestion considering they want you to have it on all the time to monitor your stats.
I like the fitbit, the band however has made my wrist break out in a rash about the size of a quarter so I am looking to buy a new band.
I bought the Fitbit primarily to monitor my pulse rate. It worked for that purpose most of the time for 9 months and then stopped detecting my pulse completely. The warranty link on the Walmart product page does not link to any warranty claim process. I don't think I want another Fitbit anyway. There must be a better product on the market somewhere.
I purchased this in may 2025, less than a year later the touch screen won't work and I have an alarm that won't stop going off... if you want something thats made for an active lifestyle, this isn't it!
I was lead to believe I was ordering a NEW/not used Fitbit Charge 5 watch. When it arrived, the box had clearly been opened before with remnants of a sticky substance on the box. Not pleased with the purchase.
It works fine when I first got it. After about 2 weeks the time changed so it was about 4 hours off. I did not travel to a different time zone. Since there is no way to physically change the time, I am in the process of getting it ready to return for a refund
I purchased this as a present. Within 2 weeks the person began having problems with the screen and apps working with ease; then what seemed to be battery life. Watch was left on charger for multiple hours and then only a few hours of usage and blackness. placed on charger again and watch never turned back on. After reviewing the reviews for this purchaser, I see this is common. I am thankful it happened within the returnable date, unlike some other purchasers prior to me, who got a couple months of use before it did black screen. Now, the Fitbit brand and reviews are great. I just didn't look closely to THIS sellers reviews, b/c I had already reviewed the watch online. My mistake. I should have had my anteni up, when the price was nearly $40 cheaper than anywhere else online. Walmart did a return, which was no problem.
Brand new charge 5. I was able to charge it but it is unresponsive otherwise. I tried the fitbit customer service examples to make it work but its dead other than charging.
