I have edema and fluid back up in both my legs. We don't know why yet we just know that it's an issue and I've been going to PT and getting it taken out by massage and of course having to take a water pill and I tried a different pair of compression boots and they were awful. They squeezed me like there was a boa constrictor around my legs ..Because you see they started at 60 MMHG… and you zip them up so therefore you can't adjust. These are perfect. You can put them on a little looser if you want to. They start at 40 MMHG and of course that's Much lighter and closer to the 20 MMHg socks that I wear .. and it's even better if you don't Velcro them tight and they slowly moved up my leg as I did my massage from your foot up and it's stopped.. I would start over.. from your foot up and then over your calf and stopping is exactly what you want if you're using it for purposes of some fluid in your legs, etc. and then of course you need to always think about making sure that your doctor or your PT knows. love them ! highly recommend them
Our whole family uses these compression boots daily at the end of the day. We love to use it with the heat. It is as good as the expensive kind that we've used at the spa before, but in the comfort of our own home! I recently bought a set for my niece who's pregnant and her feet and legs love it at the end of the day it takes away all the inflammation and gets her blood circulating!
Sitting in my recliner, after knee replacement surgery, I was desperately trying to massage my cramping feet and calves myself. I saw these boots online and ordered them in desperation. They were easy to set up and I was impress with the quality of the materials. They really do massage your calves and feet quite firmly. Add the heat and it's bliss!!It's very relaxing and you feel so much better afterwards. Thankful that I found them and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone whose mobility is limited, whether temporarily or permanently.
I've tried several different versions of these boots. but none of them helped very much. This did the job, got the swelling down first go around. Still have to use them every night but my legs swell back up during the day. I'm on me feet almost all day long.
Omg I never want to take these off… it's pure heaven. I'm 5'3” with thick calves and I don't understand the reviews saying they're not for short people, I think they're great. It is weird how short the cord is, though - when I'm laying down, the remote only comes to my waist so it's hard to read the buttons. The short timer is also weird, I just want to enjoy it for hours without constantly having to restart it.
After 3 or 4, 20-to-30-minute cycles I found the best combination/ mix of heat %26 air pressure. The device works well and not complicated to set up and operate. My personal need was for my left ankle however there are no air (compression) bladders in the ankle area! Still, this helped to give relief to swollen feet and calves!
It doesn't get the ankles and it's big on me, as I'm only 5'3". This product covers the feet, calves and thighs, and if you are a smaller person, it's annoying to have such huge foot wraps, and more length overall than you really need, but I guess it has to be a one size fits all product, and it does seem to accommodate large people. Also, it is not quick to remove because there is so much velcro, and the velcro straps are large because it has to fit snug, and that it does, but if you are smaller, you will have a larger section of velcro to pull off. It is very sturdy, and the massage and compression are amazing. I have fibromyalgia, and have been sitting way more than I should be this year, which is why I bought this. This product works very well.
Understanding, the massager is not priced at the high end of the device market: With that in mind, the settings are not flexible. The sequential or whole leg mode is really ALL or nothing (so much so, it overpowers and breaks the velcro straps free). It times-out rather quickly as well. A different price point might offer more flexibility and stability in use.
One size doesn't fit all. it was about 3 inches too small but I'm going to add some velcro to make it fit. It definitely compresses. Make sure your pets with claws stay away while you use it.
I actually returned this item twice, first time came without the cables and control, I figured it got lost or someone stole it at the store it was at, when the complete one arrived, it was a disappointment to be honest, did absolutely nothing, it was for my mom, she needs the massages on her legs for circulation, but is big, bulky, and does not apply to much pressure, not worth for the price, so returned
