It's just a rake, what's to get excited about? This rake is flexible and strong, with closely spaced, wide tines and an aluminum handle. I've been looking for a replacement for my similar but inferior rake with plastic parts for a couple of years at local hardware stores. This style just isn't stocked anymore locally. Instead, we're supposed to buy their offerings of rakes with long, thin widely spaced tines. Those rakes may be OK for just leaves, but not for dethatching, or raking tougher stuff like loose gravel. This rake is great!
Very well made more than met expectations
Good solid rake with nice long handle. Much better than the flimsy models. The tongs are shorter making them stronger and less likely to bend or break during use.
I tested a lot of leaf rakes in the stores and found all to be TOO HEAVY because of their wood handles. I'm no wimp, but figured I'd get some pretty sore muscles in short order, so I gambled on this one knowing that the rake portion is about 50% smaller than your average leaf rake. When I picked up the surprisingly lightweight package at Walmart, I knew I'd made the right decision...but when I unwrapped it and saw the small size of the rake portion, I thought I made the wrong decision. Not so. Technically this is a lawn rake, not a leaf rake, but I find that it is perfectly capable of moving sizable amounts of leaves onto the tarp for hauling to the street. I run out of leaves before I run out of energy with this aluminum-handled rake. And the steel tines? - you can bend them and they spring right back into original position.
Light weight. Good size for yard work. Just what I wanted.
I am so happy with this rake. Durable and perfect for large and small jobs! Metal is the way to go.
love it. works great. lightweight but performs very well. would buy again.
It works good!
Great rake head. Really gets the thatch and moss out of the lawn. The handle should be longer than 48 inches for taller customers - 56 inches, at least. The handle also needs to be a bit stronger as it can bend (being metal) when you are raking hard in an area of heavy thatch or moss if you are not careful. Both my son and I noticed we were getting a slight bend in our rake handles and had to ease up.
This rake is a nice rake but it came to me with damage to the handle. The package was not damaged so Walmart personal shipped this to me with the damage. For me to use this rake I will have to use duck tape to keep from hurting my hand. I am very disappointed that Walmart would ship a damaged product! This would be very hard to repackage a yard rake for return.
