For people who are sensitive to FODMAPS (sugars naturally found in fruits and vegetables) Fody foods FODMAP-free ketchup are life-saver. Imagine eating a hamburger without ketchup. Thank you FODY! And thank you Walmart for carrying Fody products!!!!
Fody Foods Gluten-Free Ketchup is onion-free and great for those of us who are allergic to onion-based products.
Love it! Same taste of usual ketchup but without belly pain!
Love this ketchup! Very helpful with my sensitivities!
i dont have celiac or anything. i bought it for the Walmart cash promotion. im glad i tried it. just ordered a second bottle.
Love this product but it is too costly. I use it sparingly.
I'm not sure why this ketchup is almost $5 for under 12 ounces. Its great for people that follow the fodmap diet because it has no onion. I purchased it because it also has no msg, natural flavor or other msg derivatives. It also has nothing artificial. The flavor is spot on with a great tangy tomato freshness, but it does have added cinnamon, clove and spices. I found it delicious with a true ketchup taste being dominant and the spices as a mild aftertaste toward the end. I will repurchase but only occasionally as I can't see how any of these ingredients justify such a high price.
glad this bottle arrived intact unlike some other products of theirs. been on the low fodmap diet nearly 10 years so you can imagine my enthusiasm to have a condiment option to make plain foods others make for me during events or restaurant outings more enjoyable. i whipped up some quick hashbrowns to give it a try and... its shrimp cocktail sauce... mind you, not a bad shrimp cocktail sauce... just.. not.. for my potatoes. its like the added cocktail sauce that comes with those rings of frozen shrimp. its edible, just not the favorite if you had other options. it wasnt so bad i refused to finish the hashbrowns i tried it with. but the association i have of shrimp just put me off going for an extra dollup i had hoped to enjoy, especially for breakfast. shrimp in the morning it a bit much for me. have not yet tried it with shrimp or breaded seafood yet. i might try adding aseotafeta (fake garlic) and green onions which is sooo odd this product doesnt have in it which are the obvious default seasonings for low fodmap people. now, if you have a recipe that usually calls for ketchup like meatloaf i can see how that can work but im mostly plant based. the flavor is more than 1 note and can stick with you. it did put me off my morning cup of coffee but if i was making it into a dish that just needed "something" and i ate meat, it could be ok. those with texture issues should be ok with it. its not as gel like of heinz or hunts, think something between a fresh can of tomato paste and cafeteria ketchup packets. so tl;dr if you plan to use it on fries, Expect an unpleasant surprise. but if you make it with something, it's okay. worth an experiment especially if you like cocktail sauce without the heat
As someone who is restricted to a low FodMap diet, I am limited to my choices when it comes to food, specifically sauces. I enjoy this ketchup but cannot believe how expensive it is. The worst part is when I order it online it isn't packed well and almost every order has broken glass and ketchup everywhere. This most recent order had 6 bottles broken leaving a soggy box of ketchup leaking on my front porch. Let's try a little harder when packing glass Walmart.com.
I ordered this online for $11.50. When it arrived today it had a $2.00 clearance sticker on it.
