The Fractal Design Focus G was purchased to repackage and repurpose an older desktop build based on a Z170X ATX motherboard and i7-6700k CPU. The case has plenty of room to accomodate a Cooler Master Hyper 212 CPU air cooler. The two fans that came installed in the front of the case were moved to the top, and three Corsair ARGB fans were added, two in front and one in back. One small issue to be aware of is that a fan in the top front-most position limits the depth of what you can install in the upper front drive bay position, and can interfere with something like a SATA optical drive. The front panel USB ports, buttons and lights all work well. The HDD LED is extremely bright, uncomfortably bright when looking straight at it from a normal distance. A series resistor was added to the HDD LED to limit current, getting its apparent brightness down to a comfortable level in line with the power LED. The case accomodates the ATX mainboard with no problem. Cable management is good, producing a neat looking build without any headaches. Windows is installed on an NVMe SSD, and a 3.5" HDD is used for media storage. The case has a very nice bay system for two 3.5" drives, featuring carriers that require no hardware and clip onto the drive, and then slide into a bay position and click in place. No hardware or tools are required to install a 3.5" drive. I don't normally shop Walmart for PC components but I'm glad their offer for this appeared in my search results. This is a very affordable case at the Walmart price, and produced a clean, nice looking result.
it was the same product on Amazon, it was cheaper than Amazon, it was free shipping and that saved me more money. This product was also offered on Newegg. It was cheaper and free shipping.
A little tight if working with a cpu cooler but besides that works great
its a great case for a budget, well made, plenty of features
Interesting case for the money. I used this for a server running in my basement that no one ever sees. Forget clean tidy cable management with this case unless you want to spend hours on it but it's great otherwise. Step 1: Remove the foam on the front mesh or it will trap dust and prevent any airflow and generally will look terrible once it's full of dust. There is no cleaning it.
Good for the price, a bit tight at the back as it's hard to do proper cable management. Can't remove optical drive case. Front fans are ok, moves the air just fine. LED light at the top is too bright, had to put a sticker on it to dim it.
The case is fractal design. It is a budget case of course so there are a few cut corners. Only thing its missing is a psu schroud. But a great case for a basic gaming rig
This is a great case for the price. It was a bit snug for the parts that had to be moved from another case to this one but I got it to work
Right now, it's too early to tell. Just finished my build using a MSI Z890 Gaming plus Wifi MoBo. But I wish it had more bay door on the front side and more options to control fans, lights etc..... Also, if you plan on buying a MSI Z890, beware, it took me 3 days and ? how many hours to get it to work. The Memory slots have to be done in order, there were No drivers available for the Ethernet Adapter nor the Wifi Adapter, and other PCIe drivers for Windows 10! I am strictly a Windows 10 guy! Don't care for 11, it too Intrusive!
The main reason I purchased this case was it was the only one I could find that I could install a DVD player. I need a DVD player. I don;t see how anybody can get by without one. I don't like the fact that the fans are three pin connectors. All fan connectors today are four pin because the change color. I thought the fans in this case changed color, but they don't. They are solid white
