FRAM Synthetic Endurance Premium Oil Filter, FE6607, 25K mile Replacement Filter for Select Mazda and Nissan Vehicles

I was recently browsing for an oil filter and I saw this (new to me) filter on Walmart's website. It wasn't too expensive so I decided to try it out. I used this filter on my 2006 Infiniti G35 coupe. Filter model %23FE6607. First impression is that the filter seems to have a nice build quality and has a nice weight to it for such a small filter. This filter seems to be a little bit smaller than the usual filters I use for my car, but I'm sure it's because of it's weight. I tried to weigh it on my small digital scale but it's over the 150 gram capacity that it can handle. A quick crude measurement shows it being about 2.6" long. Ten holes on the top and the mesh internally consists of those diagonal slotted louvre slits. I'm not the biggest fan of those types of holes but they all seem to be open and it has a thicc silicon anti drain-back valve. Also the rubber gasket at the top is thick and what you would expect on a premium oil filter. Also they claim to have a 360 degree textured grip but I don't know, this seems pretty smooth to me. Calling the texture on mine a "360 degree textured grip" is like calling an oil filter an engine oil capacity booster since it can hold a bit of oil. The only thing I didn't like about the filter is that when I received it there was some type of greasy substance on the bypass relief valve and the thread on the top had a bit of metal hanging off of it which I quickly pulled off with a pair of pliers. The liquid in the middle wiped off easily with a paper towel and it smelled like oil. Not a big deal and overall just based on the build quality and heft to it, I would recommend this filter and would purchase again in the future as long as I don't hear anything really negative about it. I would like to see the internals to verify that it has a wire mesh and do an oil analysis on it, maybe in the future. Also, it is made in the USA which is nice.

Never let me down only to say I trust this brand of oil filter. Great price for a quality oil filter. GOD BLESS...

Installation is straight forward, cap end of filter is easy to hold on to with extra friction grip, claims 25K longevity, wait and see, new product from Fram, hope it lasts. Yep, I'd buy it again.

As with all oil filters, time will really tell. However, as far as the feel and appearance goes this filter was sturdy and fit easily. Used a Fram Ultra before this and that went fine as well. for about 14 months. For $4 more, i went for this one since it is slightly better per some technical reviews.

The item was well built. Fram seems to be making a better oil filter than they did in the past. Unfortunately it a little on the expensive side but seems to check all the boxes if you are using synthetic oil and wanting a little extra filtering ability.

I ordered the product online and they delivered the cheap Fram that someone obviously swapped out in the store. No one bothered to check the filter matched the part number or picture on the outside of the box.
