Absolutely love my ice maker!! Had it since Christmas %26 don't really have nothing bad to say about it. It is a bit louder than the previous one I had %26 sometimes it don't shut off when the ice is full %26 then that leads to some leaking from somewhere an there is some water on the counter to clean up but that's still better than the previous brand we had. It makes ice rather quickly and well the nugget ice is the BEST!! If I had one thg to advise to anyone that's purchasing this one, it would be to just make sure you run the clean cycle when the light comes on, and clean the inside of it also bc somehow it does get rather dirty inside there. It's definitely been great %26 well worth the money.
Makes great tasting nugget ice! Since there seem to be conflicting opinions about this unit recycling water, I can state that... I let all my ice melt and had a pool of water in the bottom reservoir. I purposely did NOT drain it or fill the top tank with more water and my icemaker DID use the water from the bottom to make more ice! I checked the bottom and all the water was gone. I hope this clears up any confusion over recycling! Glad I bought this icemaker since my refrigerator makes the big "clunky" ice. It was a little bigger than I expected it to be but I can deal with the loss of counter space for the "good ice!"
When i received this item, and took it out of the box, i was drenched with water. I'm assuming maybe this was a return that i got, OR if they test them before sending them out, they didn't dry it out. So that was a nice wakeup. That being said. If you buy this. make sure it's on a surface where you can access it from all sides. You need to drain it after every use because at times instead of pushing ice into the tray, it just pushes water which collects on the bottom, and you have to drain out. To drain it, you have two tubes on the back that are plugged, that you need to unplug and drain somehow. It's fairly heavy, so moving it after every use isn't worth it. Every time you pull the tray out completely, you will have tons of water suddenly come out of the tray, no matter how long you sat there and tried to coax the water out into the bottom container. Don't get one of these if you're expecting to save the ice it makes. Use it as it makes it. Because with how this icemaker constantly pushes water out. If you were to try to put this in your freezer, or to use in a travel case. it will freeze into a block because of all the extra moisture. one that's hard to break. It's quiet, it works fast, but it's terrible in it's execution.
Buyer beware! I purchased this product and within four months it started to leak. It's extremely loud when running and now it doesn't even cool much less make ice. I contacted the supplier and after a month of dealing with their customer no-service center, they are now instructing me to ship the machine back to California at MY expense.
I bought one as a gift. Box had holes in it, looked like bottom had gotten wet. Went to return it. Wasn't giving a gift that looked Iike it had been through a war. Lady at Walmart opened it, dumped it out of box on floor. Told me numbers didn't match and refused to return it. So now I have an opened package that I can't do anything with.
I can not recommend this machine. I like the ice that it produces, but the machinery is loud and undependable. As of today, my unit is in transit (at a cost of $92 UPS) for warranty replacement because the machine became louder and louder and eventually died. The warranty required much documentation and we'll see how it goes.
This machine is terrible. The first one I ordered didn't work, it leaked all over the counter. The second one, was fine for a month, then stopped working. The third one arrived damaged. Not the box, or the packaging, but the machine itself had a HUGE dent. I don't believe it happened during shipping as the packaging was fine. The warranty services are ridiculous. I am so glad walmart refunded me.
Loved it at first! Tonight I realized my ice maker wasn’t making ice and making extremely loud noises! I have kept up with cleaning it including the hoses as far as my straw cleaner would reach! I purchased this right before summer of 2022 stated! This is ridiculous that I spent so much money and it stopped working!! How can I get a refund or an even exchange? The light also started flashing rapidly for no reason and wouldn’t stop until I turned it off completely.
I received my ice maker today with water already inside. This item was opened and clearly previously used. Also has minor scratches on the front ice container and the container also looks a bit worn as well. I am packing back up to return. So disappointing!
dangerous!!!! Top exploded off breaking the screws off like a pressurized cannon and shot out of machine. luckily no one was hurt. It was louder than it advertised, made good ice though but didn't last 9 months. For an appliance at this price , i feel it should have lasted longer.
