Frigidaire 8,000 BTU 115V Window Mini-Compact Air Conditioner with Temperature-Sensing Remote Control

Received promptly after ordering it online. It was a fast service from Walmart. It works well.

Frigidaire is always a good purchase for an air conditioner. Got it for a gift but I'm sure they love it.

I love the small size and it is extremely quiet and cools the bedroom quickly!

It helps keep my central AC from constantly running in this hot temperature.

We bought 2 units (8k & 6k) for our beach cottage & placed them on opposite ends of the house leaving 1 door closed to section off the house. The 8k BTU unit does a nice job cooling 1 side (open LR, DR, & kitchen area, 1 bath & 1 BR) & the 6k BTU unit cools the other side (MBR, bath, 2nd BR & laundry area). We placed the remote controls in the middle of both areas & use the remote temp sensor function. The 8k unit maintains the rm temp within 2 dgrs of the set temp but the 6k unit varies by 3-4 dgrs (likely due to bathrm door being closed frequently) so I’d recommend if you’re using a unit to cool multiple rms, get a more powerful unit. We have ceiling fans in all rms which do a great job of circulate the air. Given the price (after rebates), quality & functionality, I highly recommend Frigidaire. I bought this a couple of weeks back after my other unit died (after only 6 years). The five-star reviews didn’t lie. It definitely works better and more efficiently than the other to cool my 12x18 foot bedroom. It’s a powerhouse! Also like the remote sensing feature, and the Energy Star rating. Wonderful quality! the AC works fine the only thing that I have a major malfunction it did not have a drain hole for the condensation of the unit so I drilled a small hole in the bottom of the pan and now it drains properly I do not understand why I Frigidaire did not do this at the factory and therefore I cannot recommend it to anybody that does not know how to work on stuff at the home or is not a contractor or not involved in construction this unit works really good after you drill that hole but if that hole is not drill he could cause some major problems with mildew getting into the the condenser coils causing foul smells and odors for the life of me I could not understand why there was no drain hole

This unit does't remember it's settings when turned off. Every time I turn it on I have to go through a series of button presses. 1. press mode twice to turn it from eco to cool 2. press fan once to turn it to auto 3. press remote sensing once to turn it on. Now after having it for a few months the coils starting freezing up after 5 hours of use. Throwing unit away and buying a GE unit. Had a GE unit before and never had any problem with it like this one.
