Frontier Co-op Certified Organic Nettle Leaf, 16 oz

I bought a pound and there is a lot of nettles in a pound. It is a natural anti inflammatory and I make it into a tea and it has helped ma a great deal. I use 1 tablespoon put it in a tea strainer and add a little honey and thats it. I had no idea Wal-Mart would have this product glad they did. Also it was very inexpensive. M.P.

decent quality nettle though hard stems

The shipment arrived in perfect timing. When I saw the bag of tea I was surprised how big it is. I thought it must be over a pound. However when I put it in the scale, without deducting the aluminum bag weight, it is little over 15oz. Therefore net leaf weight might be around 12-13 oz. I'm not picking on a couple of ounces less cos there's a lot in this bag. The smell in the bag is exactly the same as I purchase nettle leaf tea bag from stores. It usually costs $5-6 per sixteen teabag (around 1.13 ounce total). So overall this is a huge saving if quality is the same. I just steeped a small amount, the color potency and taste are strong. Looking forward to enjoy it in this season!

The last few orders of organic stinging nettle leaf have been poor quality. Infusions made with nettle from prior orders yielded a deep, rich, dark green color with a strong flavorful taste. These last few batches have yielded light brown tea-like color infusions with a weak flavor. Looking in the bag, there's not a lot of discernible leaf. I can't tell if it's mostly seeds and a little leaf. It just looks like a crushed mess. I kept hoping the next order I placed would be from a good batch, but not so. I'll have to find somewhere to order my nettle from, as I can't keep throwing away money. This quality is unusual for Frontier, in my experience. I hope better stinging nettle can be sourced soon.
