An Evolutionary Refinement for Casual Retro Fans
The advantages are many: - Classic styling (It looks and behaves like a film camera) - The Happy Marriage of Analog and Digital (Print photos you want and xfer to iPhone App) - Easily access a large set of filters and lens right on the camera with real dial hardware. The disadvantages are few: - You can only transfer photos to you iPhone App that you print on FujiFilm. But you can always access your borderless photos on a computer via SD card. This is FujiFilm's constraint to sell photos to end users. - I don't see strong use cases for some of the filters. I find myself using Vignette, Soft Focus, Sepia, Retro, and a few others. Full disclosure. My 1st camera failed after 4 months of use. FujiFilm honored the warranty with excellent service. FujiFilm sent a refurbished unit to me. So far, no-problems. I read a review on the WSJ about this camera ~7 months ago and it caught my attention. I am very impressed with this product and enjoy sharing prints with family and friends. Its ‘imperfection' is its greatest selling point.

Amazing
At first I was hesitant on buying it because it wasn't that many reviews but I wanted it real bad so I went for it. Overall a great camera and I'll recommend anyone to buy it!

A good hybrid compromise
While you give up the mystery of seeing how your analog photo comes out, given the cost of the film, selecting which photos to print is a plus

Love my instax but I'm jealous of the half camera
The Hybred mini evo is an amazing concept and the layout and functionality of the mini is amazing. But seeing the new half camera with the 1” sensor better processor and substantially better build quality made me think that maybe Fuji could build a Mini Evo Pro built to the same standards as the new half camera. The pictures could be so much better. One Very high quality instax camera in the instax line up would be amazing. The pictures I print from the mini evo camera vs the pictures I print on the mini evo from my apple phone camera show an amazing difference in quality. A mini evo pro would produce images that are equal of better than phone generated pictures. The over all format should be the same just better build quality same a the half camera. Better processor 1” or micro 4/3 better and better lens. Mini Evo Pro has a nice ring to it. By the way I would pay a lot more for it

Identically strange artifacts on all photos
Had a weird pattern overlay on all the photos. Maybe it's a filter, maybe it's a defect of the lens. I couldn't find anything stated online about it.
