great little desk

This is a decent enough little desk for its price. It's not perfect fo me, because I'm a fairly big guy. 6'3", and 300 or so pounds. But area constraints forced me to buy a desk that fits in these dimensions. I would say that this desk would be most appropriate for adolescents, and small to almost-normal sized adult females. Just taking average body sizes into account. Some of the pilot holes for the screws were misaligned, but that isn't a big deal when sinking them into sawdust and glue essentially. Which, means that the wood itself is just particle board. The pole holding the shelves is 3 parts and plastic. The drawers are fabric. In my apartment, I'm not using this as a laptop table. I put a 22" drawing tablet on it, and a PC tower on the shelves to the right side. Now I have a little drawing nook to play around with. The instructions state that the maximum weight of the table top is 20 lbs. Usually furniture manufacturers under-report this weight, but I wouldn't push my luck too far past that number if I were you. And I'm reasonably certain that if you will need to move this desk often, it will fall apart fairly quickly. If the pic looks strange, it's the angle of the tablet I took the picture on (it was plugged in and charging), not the angle of the floor, desk, or drawing tablet. I know that I will have to replace this sooner rather than later, but that's because of my size, not because of the desk's faults.

This desk was a gift for my mother. She had a limited space for where she wanted the desk to be placed. This had the perfect measurements, got good reviews and was the price I preferred to pay. It was easy assembly and made it alot easier that each piece was letter stamped along the edge. The only negative is what other reviews had stated, that the 'drawers' are not of same material as desk, but are made of a woven material. They are sturdy enough to hold drawer items like pens, paper, etc. I did purchase two plastic oblong storage containers to be placed on the two shelves (see my in photo). Overall, a good value for a not so big desk.

It is way smaller than I thought. It is nice and very easy to put together.

Paid to have item shipped within 2 days. Opened it to put together before Christmas for my daughter and 2 pieces were cracked. It is now almost 2 weeks later and I have yet to receive the replacement parts.

The desk was easy to put together and it arrived quickly. However, it is a VERY small desk. My fault, because I didn't pay close attention to the size listed. Also, what appears to be two drawers are actually holes that fabric drawers unfild and fit into. Not at all sturdy. It's cute and would be good for a toddler or small child, but not an older child, teenager or adult. Be sure to take note of the size, because once you put it together, your stuck with it. It can't be returned to Walmart. You would have to dismantle it, repackage it and ship it back to the manufacturer.

It's a small desk, and very functional for a small space. The top was scratched and pitted; it looked like a return that was repackaged without any refurbishment. I returned for refund and bought another small desk.

Just got the desk, looking at the instructions, kinda sad that the pieces I received which I assumed were decorative were important pieces. well, sadly, they appeared broken. Nice.
