I've been aware of Red Bean Mochi for a long time and jumped at the chance to sample some. note: I have an intense dislike of beans, so wondered how in the world beans could be sweet. it takes a little getting used to but this is definitely worth it to get to sample foods from other countries/cultures. Now I would like to get a can of Pocari Sweat, I think it's like a Japanese Gatorade.,
Nice sweet treat. The mochi is soft and chewy, and the filling inside is smooth and flavorful. They're not too sweet, which makes them easy to enjoy without feeling heavy. I like the variety of flavors. Great little dessert or snack when you want something different!
Despite all the bad comments I really like these the flavor is really good you can really taste the melon flavor the flavor on the inside is a bit pasty but that's good people complain about the outside being powdery for me I just sprinkle alil Splenda on the top of em makes em even better to be honest
A little pricey at over $1 per mochi, but they are delicious and worth it. I would consider them more of a treat or dessert, than a snack. Definitely would recommend. Definitely would buy again.
Super fun to try! First mochi I had was many yrs ago from a metro oriental store near Mpls and I really liked it. This one costs much more but is also yummy! Extremely soft and chewy and doughy with ample peanut btr filling. 6 ct per pkg. Cant wait to eat the Red Bean and Taro ones as I probably will really like those! Would buy again if price isn't higher and esp if price lowers.
I dislike giving it a "3" for taste because I'm sure some folks would find this delicious, it just wasn't for me. I've had other flavors (vanilla, mango) and loved those. This one I believe was a bean base and I'm not a fan of beans. Again, these are a good snack, I just was not a fan of the center taste (I did eat the outside portion) - so take my score of 3 on taste with a grain of salt.
It was good, it just doesn't taste like what I remember growing up. That's bean paste isn't strong as a soft sweet taste to it. And the rice coating is pleasant
They were not what I expected as I used to eat. These Mochi with black bean in them, and they were so good. But that was so many years ago, these are okay, I'm not gonna recommend them. But you can try him
Little too nutty for me. But id actually order again because the texture is amazing and I did enjoy the savory/sweet flavor!
Really didn't like the texture the powder on the outside makes mouth very dry and really doesn't have a taste at all
