Garmin Drive™ 53 EX GPS Navigator, High-Resolution Touchscreen, Simple On-Screen Menus and Easy-To-See Maps, Driver Alerts

Purchased this drive 53 to use on motorcycle instead of smartphone. It fits my current phone holder, and stays lit up while in use, even while viewing map instead of a destination. Simple, surprisingly visible, and banner across top shows upcoming cross streets (really like this). Volume is not very loud, even in a car, however this is not an issue for me. Updates are easy on Garmin website, using included cable to connect to computer. This unit is NOT wifi capable. Know what you expect of a gps before purchasing one, but the drive 53 works perfectly for my needs.

It was easy to connect it to my PC using its USB cable that came in the box and then to update the US maps for 2025. Then install it at my car dashboard, once engine start it will power by itself and once its off this GPS will go off by itself as well so no worries about battery discharge. Its very easy to configure and use, I did not need to read the small instructions panflet that was at the box. Its very acurate finding any address or any interest place like restaurants, stores, hospitals, etc. Even been kinda small, only 5 inches wide by 4.5 inches tall the image is wide and brilliant enough to see. Voices are loud to undertand their guidance instructions. Garmin is a good reliable GPS company and I have been using them for many years,I know today all phones has the maps and you can use them instead but I did not want to use mine and leave it free to answer calls.

The product is very easy to use. I don't have a smart phone, not a very tech savvy person and it was ready to use right out of the box which I loved! For that reason I would say it's a good fit for older or elderly drivers, new or teen drivers and really anyone who needs this kind of product. I haven't explored all of the features but I've used it to go to and fro and had a great experience.

I rated this Garmin GPS 5 stars because I really like how easy it is to use. My only complaint is that the open box makes me think that it was a returned item. This item should have been advertised as an open box return, if that in fact was the case.

I had Garmin GPS's from years ago and liked them very much. That's why I bought a new Garmin. I tried this new one a few days ago and it got me to where I needed to go! I just hope they keep their promise for free lifetime maps!!!

The Garmin Drive™ 53 EX GPS Navigator earned an enthusiastic thumbs up from me. Functionally, visually, and auditorily it does what I want in my car for travel. It is easy to enter your start and end locations, and retrieve previously stored destinations. It responds quickly when started and re-routes quickly %26 accurately if you deviate from the planned route. Volume can be turned up loud enough to he heard by a person with slightly diminished hearing, but I would prefer a little more. It gives excellent advice regarding lane changes and turns, with plenty of warnings. Superb product at a fair price. It is far superior in every way to a competing GPS that I had previously bought -- and have trashcanned!

This is my second one in 4 years. The other was stolen, so this is a replacement. I love having it mounted on my windshield to the left of my steering wheel because it puts a map and/or directions directly in my field of vision while I'm driving. I also love that it puts a spedometer there as well.

Got it the day before travel. The maps were not updated took me on a wild goose chase show the exit that didn't exist any longer. The numbers of the exit were not got it the day before travel. It never said you had to purchase SD card. I tried downloading maps, etc. Said was not enough storage on the device. Had to install an SD card for the extra memory to finish the download.

I trusted this brand so I expected better quality and accuracy of directions. On the contrary first it didn't came up with a map and then it sent me on a wrong route. Although I read the instructions I didn't expect a small screen clearly. I bought for this drive from Kentucky to Atlanta and I'm definitely disappointed.
