Easy setup. Enough on board memory to get the map update. Great upgrade from my old nuvi 1490. Nice screen. Voice activation works well.
Excellent quality great picture. Great to have.
I've had it only a week, and it's different from my old Magellan. I bought it because it was the best I could afford. It's really too soon to review, but I like it so far.
I love the workings of this device. It has everything I need to map and communicate with when I'm on the road. Love this device!!!
Blue tooth functionality is back and forth on whether it will work or not. But love the large screen.
I like the large screen on this Garmin. However, the blue tooth feature requires that you install an app on your phone and on my old android phone, the app would not work with this Garmin. So, I have no hands free calling like I had with a previous Garmin. The traffic feature also seems to require some type of subscription or something, because I cant get that to work yet either. It is too complicated and should just work without a lot of setup on external devices. Wish I had purchased a different device, but now, I am stuck with it.
I thought that if I'd spent the money on a good navi system, then it would be excellent. Wrong! Doesnt show 1/3 of the roads I drive and it keeps seeing service roads for utility company as full access. I'm not looking at going off road in a new Acura Type-S. I wanted a navi system because none of the roads in my town have signs and wanted to know what roads are where and I travel alot. The Google maps on my phone works great but I need my phone freed up for other things. Plus I was wanting a something with a bigger screen. Pease don't waste your money on this expensive until. The cheaper ones works just like this one, but still missing a lot of the roads.
Ordered Garmin drive smart 71. Company sent Garmin 65 in unmarked box with no literature. So I couldn't tell what model it was. After powering it up. Could tell. Think they did on purpose…. Bad try
"It took me while to get the Garmin 71 EX GPS by USPS mail, but when it got here, the box had the serial numbers torn off. That means I cannot get a registration or warranty from Garmin. The seller was JGS (Just Guy Stuff in Connecticut). Could this be stolen or are they getting a rebate from Garmin as the ""purchaser"". Either way
The voice control did not work well at all. The software was terrible, made little sense. The searches would come up bust quite often and was also inconsistent. It would find something one way, but when you went to add it to favorites you had to search again separately, and then it would say it could not find it. The database is sparse and even major retailers are not in there. I will stick with my 20 year old nuvi1450 as Garmin has been steadily getting worse since then. When it dies I will get by with google maps.
