Garmin Instinct 2 Solar Surf Edition 45mm Rugged GPS Smartwatch, Bells Beach

I never thought I would really use a smartwatch like this one, but I bought it on a whim when it was on sale. I fell in love with it right away, and I was really impressed with several of its features. The only regret I had was not getting the one with the solar charging capabilities, but that was my own fault for not doing more research before buying.

Love the Instinct 2s!!! The size is perfect and visibility of screen is wonderful and great battery life. Wish Garmin offered a full functional Instinct 3 s with all the previous Instinct 2 watch faces... love the analogy watch face on the Instinct 2 series!

I use the Instinct 2 for Hiking and Biking. This watch is very rugged, yet light weight and easy to read in direct sunlight. Garmin's navigation is the best feature, just load a course of the hiking trail and start the hike. The Heart-rate monitor, Altimeter/Barometer and GPS sensors are reliable.

Got it for my husband to monitor his heart just out of an abundance of caution as he has sleep apnea, which has been treated for years, and hypertension. It has been alarming consistently in the morning at a certain time regarding heart rate variability (out of sync between beats) which has prompted an appointment with the cardiologist. Although it's great that it monitors your exercise, respiration and sleep, the cardiac monitoring is a superior added benefit. Very durable as well given the abuse he puts it through.

not water proof will kill battery

Looks great and everything seems accurate besides that it is saying to rest for extended periods of time after exercise, 😆

Very poor health metrics. I downloaded apps from google..with notifications every 10 seconds i had to shut them all off.

Ordered Garmin Instinct 2s based on reviews. Have not worn watch since band is to small. I am average male but band on the watch barely latched. Seems this is a common problem with this watch and in speaking with Garmin and Seller (Beach Camera)option to resolve is purchase a new band at a cost of $49.99 from Garmin since band is Garmin specific. If you order this Garmin Instinct and have an average wrist size be prepared to purchase a replacement band when received! Not satisfied with Garmin's or Sellers response and will return and purchase something different not Garmin!!
