Garnier Fructis Style Volume Anti-Humidity Hairspray, Extra Strong Hold, 8.25 oz

I struggle with keeping my hair styled while living in a sub tropical environment. I tried this for the first time Sunday and was pleasantly surprised. It was humid when I left the house prior to sunrise but it held my style along with a Not Your Mother’s product (used on wet hair), and it stayed and did not look like helmet hair at all and was soft! Later that morning it was raining and not just a mist-type rain either! Putting groceries in my car and then taking them out -without an umbrella (it was lightly raining then) and my hair still had body and style despite the conditions! I have super straight hair so this is a pleasant surprise for me! Would buy again and would recommend!

I've been using Nutrese hairspray for several years. For the price I think it is the best. It works for my hair, keeps it in place. And, I get lots of compliments!

I have used this hairspray for over 20 years. It does not leave your hair sticky at all and has a very pleasant scent. I always used the Number 2 strength, but it is now hard to find so I went to 3 and it works very well! It's a good hairspray for a great price!

This is my go-to hairspray because it works so well. It holds very well in the southern, summer humidity and it smells great! I like for my hair to smell nice and not like chemicals, so this product provides double for me. Its a great quality product that I would highly recommend. The only downside is that from time to time the sprayer gets clogged up and Im unable to use the last 1/4th of the can. This has happened on numerous cans of the hairspray and mousse. I reported it to the company so I hope the problem gets fixed.

This is a product I regularly use, but normally purchase elsewhere. I am very happy with this purchase from WalMart.

I’ve tried a lot of hairsprays, and this Garnier Fructis Style Volume Anti-Humidity Hairspray (Extra Strong Hold) sits in that sweet spot between affordable and actually effective—but it’s not flawless. First, what it does really well: The hold is legit. Once this sets, your style stays put—even in humidity. It’s one of those sprays where you can actually trust it not to collapse halfway through the day. It also gives noticeable lift at the roots, so if your hair tends to fall flat, this helps bring it back to life. The formula is designed to give up to 24-hour hold while still keeping some movement, which tracks with my experience.  Another big win is the finish. It’s not overly crunchy or stiff unless you go overboard, and it still lets your hair move a bit instead of turning it into a shellacked situation. A lot of people (myself included) notice the scent too—it’s fruity and actually pleasant, not that harsh chemical cloud most sprays leave behind.  Now where it loses that 5th star: It can build up if you use it daily. After a couple uses, my hair started to feel a little coated, like I needed to wash it out. Also, while it’s labeled “flexible,” it leans more toward strong than flexible—so if you’re someone who constantly runs your hands through your hair, you’ll feel it. And the nozzle? Mostly fine, but occasionally sprays a little heavier than I’d like. Not a dealbreaker, just not ultra-premium either. Bottom line: This is a really solid drugstore hairspray that punches above its price—great hold, good volume, and humidity resistance that actually works. It’s just not the cleanest-feeling formula over time. Who should buy this: • Good for: volume, long hold, humid weather, everyday styling • Not great for: super lightweight/“barely there” feel or frequent restyling 4 stars feels right—it’s dependable, performs well, and I’d repurchase… just with realistic expectations.
